Alpha Bank has forged an exclusive partnership with Visa, with a view to providing upgraded products and services to individual and corporate customers. The Mastercard debit cards for individuals are the first to be replaced.

The Visa debit cards:

• Allow online management through your e-Banking

No. The replacement of your Mastercard by the Visa debit card is completely free of charge. The pricing policy and transaction terms will not change.

If you have not yet received your new card, it’s on its way and you’ll receive it shortly. Provided we have your email, we’ll notify you as soon as your new card is available.

Once the card is issued, you can activate its virtual use through your e-Banking. Through myAlpha Mobile, you can easily add the card to your digital wallet to carry out transactions with your mobile. Otherwise, you can use the card details to shop online.

Activate your Visa card as soon as you receive it: 

• Through your mobile phone, using myAlpha Mobile 
• Through your computer, using myAlpha Web 
• At an Alpha Bank ATM using the PIN of your old card

• Notify companies about any standing orders

Give the number of your new Visa card to the companies where you had set up standing orders with your Mastercard (e.g. mobile phone companies, pay TV companies, insurance companies, subscriptions for websites, magazines, newspapers, etc.).

• Add it to your digital wallet

Add your new Visa debit card to the digital wallets: Apple Wallet, Google Wallet and Garmin Pay. 

• Destroy your old Mastercard

No, your PIN will remain the same as that of your old Mastercard.

If you’ve forgotten your PIN, you can recover it on the spot through your e-Banking.

Yes. If you want, you can change the transaction and withdrawal limit through myAlpha Mobile or myAlpha Web.

No. Your new Visa debit card has all the same features as of your old card, such as linked accounts, transaction limits, contactless transactions, etc.

Yes, provided you had activated Alpha alerts on your old card. 

With the Bonus Visa debit cards, Alpha alerts are free of charge. 

No. Xiaomi Pay does not support the use of Visa debit cards. You can only add your new card to Apple Wallet, Google Wallet and Garmin Pay.

Once you activate your new Visa card.

If you don’t activate it, the Mastercard will be cancelled in 2 months from the date stated in the letter that came with the card.

You must destroy it.

Cancel it immediately. The replacement card will be a Visa.

Give the number of your new Visa to the companies where you had set up standing orders with your Mastercard (e.g. mobile phone companies, pay TV companies, insurance companies, subscriptions for websites, magazines, newspapers, etc.).

Update them with the details of your new Visa card.

Your new card has a different number to the old one. This means that you need to add it to your Apple Wallet, Google Wallet or Garmin Pay. 

Yes. Whenever you use your new Bonus Visa in Greece and abroad, you earn Bonus points, as was the case with your old Bonus Mastercard.

Yes. All the Bonus points you had collected with the Alpha Bank Enter Bonus Mastercard will continue to be valid and available on your My Bonus Account, ready to be redeemed.
