We are redesigning our products and are replacing all Diners club cards with Mastercard credit cards, which are similar in terms of quality. Our aim is to move into the new era, and offer you flexibility and better services, in line with the current market conditions.

Mastercard cards incorporate innovative technology, are universally accepted in Greece and abroad, and offer goundbreaking services.

No. The Diners club card will be cancelled within 2 months from the time your new Mastercard is issued.

So make sure you activate the Mastercard as soon as you receive it. Once you activate it, the Diners club card will be cancelled immediately and you will only be able to use the Mastercard in its place.

For information on your new Mastercard, go to the credit card section and choose the Mastercard you are interested in. 

1.Activate it

Activate the Mastercard within 2 months from the time you receive it: 

• Through your mobile phone, using myAlpha Mobile
• Through your computer, using myAlpha Web
• At an Alpha Bank ATM

2.Notify companies regarding any standing orders

Give the number of your new Mastercard to the companies you had set up standing orders with your Diners club card (e.g. mobile phone companies, pay TV companies, insurance companies, subscriptions for websites, magazines, newspapers, etc.)

You will find information about the PIN for your new Alpha Bank Bonus Mastercard in the letter that comes with the card.

If you have forgotten your PIN, follow the instructions to recover it.

If you want to change your PIN with another 4-digit number, go to any Alpha Bank ATM.

You can shop in-store or online anywhere in Greece and abroad that accepts Mastercard payments, as well as use it at all ATMs with the Mastercard logo.

You can also pay in a flash with:

• Contactless transactions
• Digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Xiaomi Pay and Garmin Pay)

Yes, provided you had chosen to receive e-statements and had activated Alpha alerts for the Diners club card.

For the Affinity Mastercard, Alpha Bank Bonus Mastercard and Vodafone Bonus Mastercard, alerts are sent through push notifications. You just need to have installed myAlpha Mobile on your mobile and activated push notifications.

No. Given that the Diners club card will stop working, all benefits linked to it will no longer apply.

However, we have secured unique benefits for you, depending on the type of Mastercard you will receive. You can read all the relevant information in the letter that comes with the card. 

Yes. Wherever you use your Mastercard Bonus in Greece and abroad, you earn Bonus points, as was the case with your old Diners Club card.
