Branch Network

Complying with the new regulatory framework

Guided by optimum customer service for all.

Branches, ATMs and APS for all

86% of our branches in Greece are accessible to people with mobility difficulties.

Our clients with visual impairments can complete their transactions on their own, with the help of our specially designed ATMs. Out of all our ATMs:

  • Each one has tactile elements on the keypad.
  • 300 offer a voice guidance option.

In addition, 146 APS are accessible to people with disabilities.

Accommodating every need

For people with hearing impairment we offer alternative ways of communication:

  • Through video conference – With the help of our own Greek Sign Language interpreter or through electronic messages (chat).
  • At a branch – By communicating in writing, or with the help of a Greek Sign Language interpreter through the Iris Relay Service, or with a certified interpreter chosen by the person with hearing impairment.

At our branches, 2 designated employees stand as witnesses for persons with visual impairment who wish to carry out any transactions or tasks. These employees are not involved in those particular transactions or tasks. Moreover, we give the option of receiving paper documents in Braille within 7 days, including terms of transactions and price lists.

In addition, on our website we serve customers through the digital assistant (chatbot) which is accessible to people with hearing impairment and people using screen readers.

Accessible websites

We make sure that our websites meet the 4 accessibility principles stipulated in Directive (ΕU) 2016/2012: perceivability, operability, understandability and robustness.

We have started redesigning the content of alpha.gr to make it even more accessible by:

  • Optimising the content structure, to make it easier for users to find the information they are looking for.
  • Ensuring that text is structured in a way that facilitates reading, as well as navigating using screen readers.
  • Using simple language to explain and describe steps and procedures in a clear and consistent manner.
  • Displaying specific and clear instructions on buttons and navigational elements.
  • Providing alternative text for photos and subtitles for videos.
  • Enhancing colour contrast, as well as increasing spacing between letters, lines and paragraphs.

We have already received a digital accessibility certification for alphapolitismos.gr.
