Standing by our very own working mothers

We know what it means to be a mother. This is why we have adopted practices that make the life of working mothers easier.

Supporting motherhood, investing in our people

The way we see it, creating a family is an important and meaningful part in every person’s life, not an obstacle to professional growth.

Every day we foster an environment of inclusion, care and trust, where our working mothers can combine their maternal role and their professional advancement.

Supporting motherhood is part of our culture. This is why we stand by parents through targeted actions at every step of raising their children.

At Alpha Bank, we do not consider supporting families as a single benefit. We plan this support as a journey – from the moment one thinks about starting a family to the day their children enter adulthood.

How we stand by the family

Find out how we actively support the children of our people at every stage of their growth.

When starting a family

We actively support starting a family, no matter how demanding the journey is, with:

  • 30 additional days of maternity leave, and 149 in total.
  • €2,500 (€3,000 as of September 2026) childbirth and adoption allowance.
  • Financial support and leave for assisted reproduction procedures.
  • Up to 1,000,000 Bonus points when for shopping at partner companies.
  • Reduced working hours, from 1 to 9 months cumulatively, based on the needs of the working mother.

In the demanding years of parenthood

The first years of parenthood are the most beautiful, yet the most demanding. This is why we provide:

  • €320 (€340 as of September 2026) nursery school allowance.
  • €140 (€170 as of September 2026) allowance for home care.
  • Christmas vouchers for children aged 0-6.
  • 1 family leave day.

When needs change

As children grow, their needs change. We actively support the families of our employees with:

  • €50 every September for school equipment for children aged 6-12.
  • 6 days of school progress leave for the 1st child and 4 additional days for each additional child.
  • €2,000 allowance through the “Studying away” programme for children studying at a university away from their place of residence.
  • Access to summer camps and initiatives to cultivate children’s soft skills.

In addition, we organise popular educational and experiential programmes for parents, such as the Family and Well-being seminar series, and Parent Month.

Targeted support

We acknowledge that in certain cases our support is even more meaningful. This is why we offer:

  • €3,000 every year for employees who have children with disabilities.
  • Up to 2 days leave every year for reasons of force majeure.
  • 10 days leave for child hospitalisation.
  • Special benefits for single-parent families.

Investment for the future

We want to create stability and prospects for the families of our people.

This is why we create a stable saving base for the first big steps of your children with the Alpha Junior Savings Account.
