How you carry out transactions
By inserting your card
You can carry out all transactions (withdrawals, deposits, transfers, payments and balance checks) by inserting your card in the slot.
If you hold a card issued by another bank in Greece or abroad, you can only make withdrawals, check your balance, change the PIN and unlock your card.
What benefits you get
Barcode for payments
At ATMs with a barcode reader, you may pay your bills in a flash, without entering the electronic payment code. Just make sure there’s a barcode on your bill.
During the transaction, a sample of the bill you're paying appears on screen, indicating the location of the barcode.
- Locate the barcode on your bill.
- Scan the barcode on the ATM barcode reader and pay.
Voice guidance for selected transactions
At ATMs offering voice guidance you may:
- Withdraw cash.
- Check your account balance.
- Activate your cards
All you need is to hold a card issued by Alpha Bank or another bank in Greece and plug your headphones in the relevant slot. You can adjust the volume to your liking.
A voice confirmation follows each step of your transaction.
Which cards you can use
At Alpha Bank ATMs, you may use all Alpha Bank cards.
Additionally, you can withdraw cash with cards issued by other banks in Greece or abroad, provided they have the following logos:
- American Express
- Cirrus
- Diners Club
- Discover
- Maestro
- Mastercard
- Plus
- Pulse
- Union Pay
- Visa
