What exactly is the Dentist Pass programme?
It is a government financial aid programme offering preventive dental care to children aged 6-12. It runs for 5 months, from 23.05.2023 to 22.10.2023.

About the Dentist Pass in general
Who is entitled to the Dentist Pass?
Children who:
- Were born from 2011 to 2017.
- Live permanently in Greece.
- Have a social security number (AMKA) or a provisional insurance and healthcare number for foreigners (PAAYPA).
An adult receives the aid amount for each child. They must have parental responsibility, custody or guardianship, or provide insurance coverage to them.
All the conditions are detailed in Government Gazette 2659/B/21.04.2023 and in Government Gazette Β' 4117/23.6.2023.
Who can apply for the Dentist Pass?
Only individuals with their personal details. Any adult who has parental responsibility, custody or guardianship, or provides insurance coverage to a child can apply.
The virtual card that will be issued can only be used by the person who applied.

How do I apply for the Dentist Pass?
Online through vouchers.gov.gr.
To apply, you must have Taxisnet credentials. Afterwards, you must:
- Fill in the AMKA for each child.
- Provide and confirm a mobile phone number.
- Provide an email address.
You need to complete a few simple steps and choose Alpha Bank to receive the financial aid.

What if the child’s custody or guardianship has been assigned to an institution or legal entity?
The institution or legal entity must legally authorise a natural person to apply on behalf of the child. In this case, the card will be issued in the name of the authorised natural person.
If an institution has legal custody over many children, is the Dentist Pass aid amount credited into 1 card or will it be split into many cards?
The aid amount is split per application, not per child.
If an institution has appointed more than one representative (natural person), each representative can apply for 1 or more children. Provided the application is approved, 1 virtual card is issued for the entire amount, which includes the sum of the financial aids for all the children.
Do I have to bank or start banking with Alpha Bank to get the Dentist Pass?
No, you don’t have to bank with us, nor will you start banking with us because you have submitted your application.
How is the Dentist Pass aid paid?
You must get a virtual Dentist Pass Visa debit card. Once the card is issued, you receive the aid amount once.
1 card is issued per application. The aid amount for 1 or more children of each beneficiary is credited into this card once.
How much is the Dentist Pass aid amount?
€40 for each child.
I have received a virtual card from a previous programme (such as a Tourism-For-All Pass / Market Pass). Can the Dentist Pass aid be paid into a card I already hold?
No. The new Dentist Pass programme works independently from any other previous programme. Therefore, the aid amount will be paid into a new card, which will be issued after you apply at vouchers.gov.gr.
I do not bank with Alpha Bank, but I have e-Banking credentials from a previous programme (e.g. Fuel Pass I and II, Tourism-for-All, Market Pas). Can I use them to activate the Dentist Pass Visa?
If you had chosen Alpha Bank to have a card issued for the Tourism-for-All or Market Pass, you must use the e-Banking credentials that had been generated then. Your new Dentist Pass Visa card will appear on your e-Banking. If you have forgotten your credentials, contact us on +302111073827 so we may send you new ones.
If you had chosen Alpha Bank to have a Fuel Pass I and II and/or a Freedom Pass issued and had obtained e-Banking credentials, we will send you new e-Banking credentials.
When will I get the Dentist Pass aid?
A few days after you compete your application, and provided it has been approved.
Is the Dentist Pass aid amount exempt from seizure?
Yes. The Dentist Pass financial aid:
- Is tax-free, non-delegated and exempt from seizure by the Greek State or third parties.
- Is not subject to any withholding, duties or fees.
- Cannot be blocked or offset with registered debts to the tax authority and the State in general.
- Is not taken into account in the income criteria for the payment of any social or welfare benefits.

Receiving and activating the Dentist Pass Visa
Will I also get the Dentist Pass Visa as a plastic card?
No, the Dentist Pass Visa is a digital card.
To shop at POS devices, you can add your card to the digital wallet of your choice (Apply Wallet or Google Wallet) through myAlpha Mobile.
Why do I need myAlpha Mobile?
To use your virtual Dentist Pass Visa card.
Through myAlpha Mobile, you can view your card details and add it to your Google Wallet or Apply Wallet to use it at a POS device.
I bank with Alpha Bank and have e-Banking credentials (Username and Password). How do I get my virtual Dentist Pass Visa card?
When you apply, choose Alpha Bank to get and use your virtual Dentist Pass Visa card.
If your application is approved, you will receive a Viber/SMS notification once we receive your request through the programme.
When the process for issuing the virtual Dentist Pass Visa card is completed, we will send you a relevant SMS.
To get access to your virtual Dentist Pass Visa card:
- Choose “Login with credentials” on the myAlpha Mobile app to log in using your e-Banking credentials (Username and Password).
- Find your new virtual Dentist Pass Visa card on the overview page (under “Cards”).
If you have not yet installed the app on your mobile phone, you can download myAlpha Mobile directly from your mobile.
I bank with Alpha Bank, but I don’t have e-Banking credentials. How do I get my virtual Dentist Pass Visa card?
When you apply, choose Alpha Bank to get and use your virtual Dentist Pass Visa card.
If your application is approved, you will receive a Viber/SMS notification once we receive your request through the programme.
When the process for issuing the virtual Dentist Pass Visa card is completed, we will send you a relevant SMS.
To use your new virtual Dentist Pass Visa card, we send you your e-Banking credentials (Username and Password) by email/SMS on the contact details you have provided to Alpha Bank.
Through e-Banking, you will be able to view all the products you hold with Alpha Bank. When you activate your e-Banking, you fully and unconditionally accept the e-Banking terms of transactions.

myAlpha Wallet does not support the Dentist Pass. To use your virtual Dentist Pass Visa card at a POS device, you must add it to the Google Wallet through myAlpha Mobile.
Using the Dentist Pass
Where can I use the Dentist Pass aid?
Exclusively at dentists and orthodontists who own a POS device. Each virtual card pays for all or part of the amount you spend.
How do I use the virtual Dentist Pass Visa card?
Only at POS devices belonging to dentists and orthodontists in Greece, by adding your card to an Apply Wallet or Google Wallet through myAlpha Mobile.
Can I use my virtual Dentist Pass Visa card to shop online?
No. Online transactions are not possible.
Until when can I use the virtual Dentist Pass Visa card?
For 6 months from the time it was issued. Then your card will be deactivated. Any balance remaining from the aid amount will be returned to the Greek State and you will no longer be able to claim it.
