What is the e-com PIN and how does it work in electronic transactions?

If you have not activated Push Notifications, your transactions will be authenticated using an additional element – the e-com PIN, a 3-digit numeric code that you will set and which you should remember. 

For setting the e-com PIN, you will be asked – only the first time – during the purchase to enter your Tax Registration Number (AFM) in a special field that will be displayed and then, following the instructions, you will need to set the e-PIN you wish to use for the specific card.

The e-com PIN will be used in combination with myAlpha Code, which you receive via Viber message or SMS, for even greater security in the authorization of your transactions.. If both fields are confirmed, the transaction will be authorized as per the normal procedure. 

Attention: The e-com PIN is strictly personal. You should remember it and you must not disclose it to others, including to the Bank’s Personnel.
