How can I approve my transactions that require strong customer authentication via QR Code?

QR Code is a new way to carry out transactions that you start from myAlpha Web and that require strong customer authentication. A prerequisite for the approval of transactions via QR Code is the installation of the myAlpha Mobile app on your mobile device and its pairing via the relevant flow that you must follow when you first login to the application.

The advantage of approving your transactions via QR Code is that you can do so even if you are not connected to the internet.

The process is quite simple and consists of the following steps:

Start a transaction on myAlpha Web that requires strong customer authentication: :

  • Step 1: "Show QR Code" option under the alternative ways to authenticate your transaction.
  • Step 2: Open the myAlpha Mobile App using a device that you have previously paired, and without logging in to the application select QR Code Scan, where the camera of your device will automatically open.
  • Step 3: Read the QR Code from the pop-up window that will appear on myAlpha Web. A 6-digit code will then appear on the screen of your device.
  • Step 4: Enter the 6-digit code in the relevant field within the pop-up window on myAlpha Web to complete your transaction.
