Yes, at a branch near you . To complete the process: You and the joint account holder must come to the bank and sign. All the account holders must have updated their personal and financial details with Alpha Bank.

Q: What documents do I need to open an account?

Supporting documents for: Proof of identity – ID card, passport, police or military ID card, asylum seeker card or beneficiary of international protection card issued by the Ministry of Migration and Asylum. Proof of income and tax details – Recent income tax clearance certificate, solemn declaration according to Law 1599/1986 that you are exempt from filing an income tax return or tax number issuance certificate. Proof of address and phone number – Recent phone, power, water bill, etc. or recent income tax clearance certificate. Link your account to the Alpha Bank Enter Visa debit card with zero fees and shop in-store and online in Greece and abroad, or carry out other transactions, such as cash withdrawals at Alpha Bank ATMs and ATMs of other banks.

Tip: Link the account to a Bonus debit card to collect Bonus points when you shop and redeem them in 4,000+ stores.

Payments by standing order

Pay electricity, water, phone, credit card and other bills by standing order.

What it offers

Every month, you can view an e-statement, i.e. an electronic copy of your account activity, on your e-Banking, in Greek or English. You are notified by email when a new e-statement is issued, free of charge. Through your e-Banking you can access the e-statements for the last 18 months.

Tip: If you want, you may save them as pdf files on your computer and create your own digital archive.
