Travel insurance

In which cases and what's the payout

Provided you bought your ticket with the card, the insurance payout is up to:

  • €1,500 if your luggage is lost, stolen or destroyed.
  • €500 if you wait over 4 hours to receive your luggage.
  • €500 if your flight is delayed over 4 hours.
  • €500 if you abandon the trip, provided there is a delay over 12 hours.
  • €1,000 if you cancel your trip because you are gravely ill or have had an accident.
  • €110,000 for personal third-party liability, i.e. if you cause bodily injury or material damages to a third party.

Legal protection

In which cases it applies

For online shopping at e-shops registered in Greece, in case you:

  • Never received the product you bought, provided more than 10 days have passed since the delivery date stated on the order confirmation.
  • Received the wrong product or it’s damaged.

How it covers you

You get access to legal services by a qualified consultant, only for products up to €3,000.

So you may proceed with:

  • Out-of-court dispute resolution, for products up to €1,000.
  • Judicial procedure, for products between €1,001 and €3,000, provided the result of the out-of-court settlement is not satisfactory.

You are covered for up to 3 damages a year with each insured card. Damage is considered a purchase that includes 1 or more products.

Shopping protection and extended warranty

In which cases it applies

You are compensated for products you buy in-store or online in shops registered in Greece if:

  • They are stolen following a burglary in the area where they are kept or a robbery.
  • A fire breaks out in the area where they are kept.
  • They undergo damage from external natural disasters.

How it covers you

You can repair or replace the items free of charge, provided that:

  • They cost up to €1,000 per item and €2,500 in total, a year.
  • No more than 6 months have passed since they were bought.

In addition, if the products are accompanied by warranty certificates, then the warranty period is doubled and you are compensated for any expenses that may arise during the extended warranty period.

Yes. The travel insurance covers:

  • 50% for the spouse
  • 25% for each child

Am I entitled to all 3 insurance plans with my card?

No. The insurance plans you are entitled to depend on the debit or credit card you hold.

I shopped at a store outside Greece. Is my shopping covered by the insurance plans?

No. The 2 insurance plans apply only for stores registered in Greece.
