The sooner the better
Usually, you can get a health insurance plan from 30 days to 70 years old.
It’s preferable to get insured at a younger age and in good health, as you have better insurability, i.e. eligibility for insurance based on the state of your health. This way you can secure more covers, without exceptions.
Before you need the insurance
Most insurance plans have a waiting period for specific conditions and covers. This means that these conditions will be covered only after a specific period of time has passed from the start of your insurance policy.
Therefore, if you get a health insurance plan after the need for emergency hospitalisation has arisen, it’s likely that you won’t be covered.
