  • Are over 18 years old.
  • Hold a Greek ID card.
  • Live permanently and are taxed in Greece.
  • Have an email account and Greek mobile number.
  • Have updated your details at the National Communication Registry.
  • Are not the main holder in any other Alpha Bank account.
  • Are not tax residents of USA.

Start banking online

Download the myAlpha Mobile app to open you first account online daily, from 07:30 to 23:30. 

1. Confirm your mobile number and email, and accept the terms

Confirm your mobile number and email, and accept the terms

  • Fill in your mobile number. To confirm it, enter the 6-digit code you received by text message. 
  • Fill in your email. To confirm it, enter the 6-digit code you received on that email.

The email will also be your username for logging into e-Banking.

  • Tick the boxes to accept the documents about our banking relationship and your personal data protection.

2. Confirm your details through gov.gr

Log into gov.gr  using your Taxisnet credentials. Check that your details are correct and confirm that you consent to us using them.

You are automatically transferred to myAlpha Mobile. Check again that all your details are correct.

3. Confirm your identity

Connect through video call to one of our representatives and take a photo of both sides of your ID card. 

Our representative then takes a photo of your face and confirms with the ID card.

4. Create password and accept the terms

Create a secure password and enter it twice to confirm it.

Your e-Banking credentials are all set. 

Tick the box to accept the documents relating to the terms of the products and the cooperation framework.

5. Answer 8 questions

Answer 8 short questions about your financial and transaction profile. 

Choose if and how you want to stay up to date on our new products and services.

6. Get your IBAN

Welcome to Alpha Bank!

Your IBAN appears on your screen. You can log into your e-Banking immediately, using the username and password you created.

To get a debit card, choose “Get a debit card” and where you want to receive it by post. 

Your debit card will appear on your e-Banking within a few minutes. You can already start using your card for online transactions and through your digital wallet.

Can I pause the account opening process and continue where I left off?

Yes, within 24 hours, provided you have completed the video call with our representative.

Otherwise, you’ll have to start over.

Can I use my account right away? Will I also receive the terms and conditions?

Yes. Your account ΙΒΑΝ is created automatically and is ready to use.

At the same time:

  • You gain access to myAlpha Mobile and myAlpha Web.
  • We will send you your new debit card by regular mail. When you receive the card, you can activate it online. However, until you receive it, you may add it to your digital wallet and carry out online or contactless transactions.

Once all 3 products (account, e-Banking, card) have been created/issued, we will email you the respective terms and conditions, and agreements.

My professional details were not automatically transferred through gov.gr. What should I do?

Confirm your occupation and work address within 3 months:

Until you’ve updated your details, there is a €15,000 maximum limit for deposits and transfers.
