Choice of insured amount

With the Alpha Safe Home contents insurance plan you set the maximum coverage amount and, therefore, the maximum amount up to which you can claim compensation. It’s up to you to determine the insured amount, depending on the size of your home and the value of your contents.

First-loss policy

You are fully compensated for the damage caused to your home contents, up to the insured amount you have set in your insurance policy.

With the first-loss policy, no under-insurance check is performed and the proportional rule is not applied.

Natural disasters

• Fire, lightning, smoke
• Damage caused by flood, storm, tempest, snow, hail, frost

Expenses

• Transportation to temporary accommodation
• Temporary accommodation or loss of rental income
• Debris removal
• Bank safe deposit box

Other covers

• New for old
• Glass pane and pipe breakage (expenses for detecting and repairing the damage)
• Short circuit (with or without fire)
• Extensive explosion (damages to the exploded object also covered)
• Vehicle collision or aircraft fall
• Civil liability insurance for the head of the family
• Theft (theft-related damages to the building included)
• Riots, strikes, uproars, civil commotion, malicious and terrorist acts

Optional covers

For properties built after 1960, you may choose coverage for earthquake and/or fire caused by earthquake.

Starting at €70/year

With the Alpha Safe Home contents insurance plan you can insure your home contents starting at €70/year. Your premium depends on:

• The insured amount.
• The size of your home.
• Whether you’ve chosen the earthquake cover or not.

By standing order

Pay the premium by standing order from the account you choose when you apply. Alternatively, you can set up a standing order on your credit card.

Payments can be made every 3 months, 6 months or year based on your premium.
