To renovate your home

100% interest-free loan
The interest is 100% subsidised through the programme, so you only pay the Law 128/1975 levy.
Greek-State guarantee
Guaranteed by the State if your personal income is €5,000 or your family income is €10,000.
€0 fees
You don’t pay any fees for the energy inspector, technical advisor, electronic building ID and application.

What’s the interest rate

0% interest rate

The loan is 100% interest-free, as the interest rate is subsidised by the programme.

Law 128/1975 levy

According to Law 128/1975, all loans are subject to a levy that is paid to the Greek State.

For the loan you’ll get through the “Renovate my home and save energy – for young people” programme, the levy is currently at 0.12%.

 

What are the loan amount and term

Up to €13,500

Get financing up to €13,500, based on the incentive category.

 

From 4 to 6 years

Repay the loan in 4, 5 or 6 years, depending on your finances and profile.

Without collateral

No need to provide collateral, i.e. mortgage lien on property or cash collateral.

What’s the loan fee

€0 You don't pay any fees for the:

  • Energy inspector
  • Technical advisor
  • Electronic building ID and designs
  • Application assessment

How you repay it

With equal instalments every month

Once we’ve signed your loan agreement, we open an account. Your monthly loan instalments are paid automatically by standing order through this account.

You must ensure there is adequate balance in the account every month for your instalments to go through.

Early loan repayment

You may repay your loan at any time without any charges.

What are the conditions

For you

You must:

  1. Have been born from 01.01.1984 to 31.12.2005.
  2. Have full ownership, enjoyment or bare ownership of the home you want to upgrade.

For the property

The home must:

  1. Be legal.
  2. Be used as a 1st home.
  3. Be classified at least under category C or lower, based on the Energy Performance Certificate.
  4. Not have been marked for demolition.
  5. Not be used for short-term leasing.

For the works

You carry out energy efficiency upgrades, such as:

  • Replacing window frames
  • Installing or upgrading thermal insulation.
  • Upgrading the heating or cooling system.
  • Installing a hot-water system from renewable energy sources (RES).
  • Carrying out other energy-saving or energy-autonomy interventions.
 

What are the subsidy percentages

For owner occupancy

  • 75% – personal income ≤ €5,000 / family income ≤ €10,000
  • 70% – personal income > €5,000-€10,000 / family income > €10,000-€20,000
  • 55% – personal income > €10,000-€20,000 / family income > €20,000-€30,000
  • 45% – personal income > €20,000-€30,000 / family income > €30,000-€50,000

For renting or free concession to a third party

  • 65% – personal income ≤ €5,000 / family income ≤ €10,000
  • 60% – personal income > €5,000-€10,000 / family income > €10,000-€20,000
  • 45% – personal income > €10,000-€20,000 / family income > €20,000-€30,000
  • 40% – personal income > €20,000-€30,000 / family income > €30,000-€50,000

What supporting documents do I need for the “Renovate my home and save energy – for young people” programme?

Provided you have been included in the programme and have chosen to cover your participation with a loan, you need supporting documents for the loan pre-approval.

For salaried employees or pensioners

  • Current ID card or passport
  • Income tax clearance certificate for the last year from the IAPR
  • Latest payroll slip or monthly pension slip
  • Residence and work permit, for foreigners

For freelancers or company partners/shareholders

  • Current ID card or passport
  • Income tax clearance certificate for the last 2 years from the IAPR – 2 separate documents
  • Insurance clearance certificate
  • Residence and work permit, for foreigners

For the unemployed

  • Current ID card or passport
  • Income tax clearance certificate for the last year

Can I repay my loan instalments earlier?

Yes. You can pay additional instalments or even repay the entire loan amount earlier, at no extra charge.
