Unique to every account

The IBAN (International Bank Account Number) is a distinct code for every bank account and is recognised all over the world.

For reliable transfers  

The IBAN makes transfers between bank accounts easier. It is used in domestic and international transfers to ensure that they are carried out properly.

With alphanumeric characters

The IBAN has a fixed number of characters for every country, up to 34 alphanumeric characters.

In Greece it has 27 alphanumeric characters from which:

• The first 2 are alphabetic characters that specify the country where the account is held (GR for Greece).
• The next 2 are the check digits that validate the entire IBAN.
• The final part is the Basic Bank Account Number or BBAN, which in most cases contains the number that identifies the bank (3 digits), the branch (4 digits) and the customer's account number (16 digits).
  

When the digits of the account number are less than 16, we complete it with zeros, placed at the beginning of the account.

Basic Bank Account Number (BBAN): 01401010101002101047414

IBAN: GR 16 014010101002101047414

From your computer

1. Log into myAlpha Web using your credentials.
2. On the “Overview” screen you may view the IBAN under each account.
3. Click on the gear icon to copy or print it.
   

From your mobile

1. Log into myAlpha Mobile using your credentials.
2. On the “Overview” screen choose the account you want.
3. On the next screen you may view the IBAN. If you want to copy it, choose “Click to copy”.
   

From your passbook or monthly statements

Alternatively, you may find it on:

• Your passbook, provided you have one.
• The monthly statements you receive by email or by post.
