Profile and security settings

Find out how you can manage your profile and security settings on myAlpha Mobile or myAlpha Web. Update your details in a flash and ensure your transactions are secure. 

Manage your details on the spot

From your mobile or computer
Manage the information appearing under your profile and your security settings 24/7.
For transfer limits
Increase/Decrease the daily transfer limits, as well as the transfer limits for IRIS payments.

Your personal details

View and manage your profile from your mobile or computer.

Your profile on myAlpha Mobile

To find your profile from your mobile, tap on the menu on the left and choose “Profile”.

Personal details

View the details:

  • Name – Cannot be changed.
  • Mobile phone – Tap on the pencil icon to change your mobile phone number on the spot.
  • Email – Tap on the pencil icon to change your email on the spot. 

Find detailed instructions on how to change your mobile number and email.

 
Tip: If you want to update the rest of your details (e.g. financial details, profession, etc.), tap on the menu on the top left and choose “Update details”. 

Username

View your username for:

  • myAlpha Web – It is the same as the one you use for myAlpha Mobile. 
  • myAlpha Phone

Data protection

Find important information to manage your personal data:

  • Personal data management – Find FAQs and choose if and how you want us to be contacting you: by text messages, email, calls, post.
  • Privacy policy – Under “Privacy Settings” you learn about the use of cookies and you accept it or not.
 

Your profile on myAlpha Web

To view your profile from your computer, log into myAlpha Web with your e-Banking credentials. Click on “Settings” from the left menu or the icon next to your name from the top menu.

Personal details

On the tab you can see:

  • myAlpha Web username
  • myAlpha Phone username

You can also see all your personal details. To continue to carry out transactions, you have to fill in and update all the details.

From this screen you can update your:

  • Mobile phone
  • Email

Tip: If you want to update the rest of your details (e.g. profession, home address, financial details, etc.), click on “Connect with Gov.gr” or upload them online. 

Financial and transaction profile

We need updated information so you may carry out transactions, get new products and manage those you already have.

To update your financial and transaction profile, click on “Update profile” and answer the 8 questions that follow.

Manage alerts

On this tab you manage the Alpha alerts for your accounts and cards. 

Communication

This tab has 3 sections:

  • Alpha e-statements – Manage your Alpha e-statements.
  • myAlpha Phone – Find the accounts and cards you can manage through myAlpha Phone.
  • GDPR – Find FAQs and choose if and how you want us to be contacting you: by text messages, email, calls, post.
 

Your security settings

Make changes to your security settings at any time.

Managing security settings on myAlpha Mobile

Tap on the menu on the left and choose Profile > Security settings.

Change your username and password

  • Change username – Enter the new username twice. 
  • Change password – Enter the current password once and the new one twice. Choose whether you want to change it again in 3 or 6 months. If you have an Android device, a reminder will appear on the home screen of the myAlpha Mobile app, 7 days before your password expires.

Activate push notifications

To activate or deactivate push notifications, slide the bar to the right or left.

Manage connected devices

Find and manage the devices you have connected to e-Banking. You can connect up to 10 devices to your e-Banking.

With biometrics or PIN

To gain quick access to myAlpha Mobile or to approve transactions, depending on the device, you may activate:

  • Face ID (face recognition) 
  • Fingerprint 
  • PIN (4-digit code)

Manage settings for IRIS Payments

  • Set or change the debit account (from) or credit account (to).
  • Choose how you want people to find you (mobile number, email or both).
  • Change the transfer limits.
  • Activate/deactivate IRIS payments. 

Managing security settings on myAlpha Web

Click on “Settings” from the left menu or on the icon next to your name from the top menu and choose the “Security settings” tab.

Username and password

  • Change username – Enter the new username twice. 
  • Change password – Enter the current password once and the new one twice. Choose whether you want to change it again in 3 or 6 months

Change the transfer limits

Choose the daily transfer limits for all the transactions that require strong customer authentication. The maximum limit is €15,000.

To change the daily limit, click on “Edit” and enter the new amount.

Manage connected devices

Find and manage the devices you have connected to e-Banking. You can connect up to 10 devices to your e-Banking.

e-Banking blocking

If you suspect that your credentials have been stolen or compromised, or have discovered suspicious activity on your e-Banking, you can block it temporarily.

If you hold an active Alpha Bank debit or credit card, you can get credentials on the spot, without visiting a branch.

I do not have Viber installed on my mobile phone. How can I receive myAlpha Codes?

Through SMS.

However, you can always activate Push Notifications to get your transactions confirmed easier and faster.

I did not receive a Push Notification. How can I complete my transaction?

On the transaction confirmation screen, choose to have the myAlpha Code sent to you through SMS or Viber as soon as the waiting time for Push Notifications has expired.

If you still don’t receive Push Notifications:

  • Confirm that Push Notifications are activated on myAlpha Mobile (Menu > Profile > Security settings > Push Notifications). 
  • Check your device Settings to confirm that Push Notifications are permitted.
  • Check that you have an active data connection on your device.
 

The mobile phone on which I have activated Push Notifications to confirm transactions has been lost/stolen. Is my account exposed to theft?

No, as long as your account credentials (Username και Password) have not been compromised, too.

However, you still have to remove your connected device on myAlpha Web: Settings > Security settings > Manage your connected devices. Alternatively, you can temporarily suspend your e-Banking account by calling us on +302103260000.

When you get a new device, you will have to download and install the myAlpha Mobile app and activate Push Notifications again.
