What is the interest rate and what are the fees

From 17.75% interest rate

The interest rate for the Affinity Mastercard is:

  • 17.75% when you shop
  • 19.00% when you withdraw cash
  • +2.50% to the interest rates above for default interest rate

The 0.60% Law 128/1975 levy is added to the interest rates.

Tip: 
You pay interest only if you do not pay off the entire monthly card balance by the payment date.

The annual fee for the Affinity Mastercard is:

  • €30 for the main card, free for the 1st year
  • €0 for up to 2 add-on cards

How to get control of your card

Detailed card activity updates

To keep track of your credit card activity:

  • Find your card on e-Banking (myAlpha Web from your computer or myAlpha Mobile from your mobile).
  • Check the monthly Alpha e-statements on your e-Banking.
  • Ask for a card activity statement at Alpha Bank ATMs and APS.

How to repay the card

Every month

The minimum amount you pay every month is 2% of your card balance.

However, you can pay whatever amount you want, as many times as you want.

 
Tip: If you set a standing order on one of your accounts to pay off the entire monthly balance, you don’t pay any interest.

No fees

Pay your credit card every month without fees:

  • By standing order from your Alpha Bank account
  • By transferring money from your account, from your computer through myAlpha Web or from your mobile through myAlpha Mobile
  • At an Alpha Bank ΑΤΜ or APS

Up to 400 Affinity euros / year

The Affinity Mastercard credit card is linked to the Affinity Mastercard loyalty programme.

When you use the card to shop in-store or online in Greece and abroad, you earn:

  • 2% Affinity euros over the total amount of your purchases
  • Up to 400 Affinity euros within 1 year for every card

1 Affinity euro is equal to €1. You can redeem the Affinity euros to buy products of the same or higher value at the cashiers of: Zara and Zara Home, Bershka, Massimo Dutti, Pull and Bear, Stradivarius, Oysho. 

The amount you redeem is deducted automatically from the total amount of your shopping at the time of the transaction.

30 Affinity euros as a welcome gift   

As long as you make your 1st purchase of €30 or more at the Inditex Group shops within 2 months from the card’s issuance.

With the Affinity Mastercard you can pay in up to 3 interest-free instalments if you shop goods over €90 at the Inditex Group shops:

To pay in interest-free instalments, you first have to call on +30 213 009 5700 (Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00) or send an email with the transaction details.

  • Are 18-75 years old.
  • Have e-Banking credentials.
  • Live permanently in Greece, have a Greek mobile number and hold a Greek ID card.
  • Have updated your details at Alpha Bank.

1. Fill in the application form

Choose New products > Credit cards > Get credit card.

Choose the Affinity Mastercard and:

  • Set an account to pay your card automatically.
  • Accept the pre-contractual information.
  • Answer 3 short questions.
  • Choose where you want to receive your card, provided it is approved.

We assess your application and inform you by email:

  • Immediately, if you submit it from 06:00-22:00. 
  • In the morning, if you submit it from 22:00-06:00.
 

2. Sign the agreement digitally

Provided the application is approved, confirm your personal details and accept the terms for the digital signature.

Digitally sign the agreement with a 6-digit code you receive on your mobile.

You have 3 days to sign the agreement. Once 3 days have elapsed, the application is cancelled and you need to start over.

We send you the agreement by email and save a copy on your e-Banking.

3. Get the card

The new card shows up on your e-Banking within 3 working days. Once it’s ready, you get a message on your e-Banking.

You can activate the virtual use of your new card. Through myAlpha Mobile, you can easily add the card to your digital wallet to carry out transactions with your mobile. Otherwise, get the card details to shop online.

You receive the actual card by post in 8-10 working days.

How do I activate my card?

From your computer or mobile phone, as long as you have e-Banking credentials.

From your computer through myAlpha Web:

  1. Locate your new card on the home screen (Overview).
  2. Click on the 3 dots on the right of the card and choose “Activate Card”.
  3. Fill in your card expiration date and choose “Activate”.

From your mobile through myAlpha Mobile:

  1. Scroll down to the Cards section on the home screen.
  2. Choose “Activate card”.
  3. Fill in your card expiration date and choose “Activate”.

If you cannot find your new card on myAlpha Web or myAlpha Mobile, you can add the card.

If you do not have e-Banking credentials, you can activate your card at an Alpha Bank ΑΤΜ after you have received your PIN.

How do I change my credit card limits?

Send an email to customerservice@alpha.gr, mentioning: 

  • The new credit card limit you need. 
  • Your card details (number, Visa or Mastercard, etc.). 
  • Your most recent income tax clearance certificate. 
  • Your most recent payslip (if you are on a payroll).
