Today, with contactless transactions being more relevant than ever, Alpha Bank becomes the first Greek Bank to offer Apple Pay to its Customers.

You can add your Alpha Bank Visa and Mastercard cards to Apple Pay today and make all your contactless purchases, without inserting your PIN.

You will only need your iPhone or Apple Watch!

There is no need to carry your card or wallet anymore, since your cards can easily be added to Apple Pay.

In addition, online purchases are easy and safe with Apple Pay.

How to add your card

iPhone

Open the Wallet application and press +

Apple Watch

Open the Apple Watch application on your iPhone and select “Wallet & Apple Pay”. Press “Add Credit or Debit Card”

Moreover, you can add your card on Apple Pay, via myAlpha mobile app. Sign into myAlpha mobile app with your e-banking credentials, navigate to the cards section and select the “add on Apple Wallet” button. Complete the process using your 4-digit PIN or biometrics.

To add the card, you need to have downloaded the latest version of the myAlpha Mobile app.

Adding your card to Apple Pay is easy and safe. Your actual card number is never stored on your device or shared, because an encrypted number (token), a unique number assigned to your card, is generated and used in transactions.

What cards can I add to Apple Pay?

You can add any Alpha Bank debit, credit or prepaid Visa or Mastercard, as long as you have received the actual card.

You can add:

Up to 12 cards on iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and Apple Watch Series 3.
Up to 8 cards on all other devices.

If necessary, you can add the same card on more than 1 device.

Is there a fee for Apple Pay?

No. You can add your Visa or Mastercard for free, and carry out transactions at no extra cost.

How do I pay with Apple Pay?

Choose your card on the Wallet and bring your mobile close to the POS.

Once the transaction is complete, you will see “Done” on your screen. You will also receive a POS receipt.

The POS used for the transaction must support contactless transactions.
