Greece’s Golden Visa programme is one of the most attractive residency-by-investment options in Europe. By participating in the programme, you get:

  • 5-year residency in Greece with option for renewal, provided you maintain property ownership or investments.
  • Residency for the whole family, with personal residence permits that expire when the permit of the main permit holder expires.
  • Schengen zone travel – Travel visa-free across 27 European countries for 90 days every 6 months.
  • No minimum stay requirement – Unlike many other programmes, Greece doesn’t require you to live in the country to maintain residency.

Choose from a range of investment options

To qualify for Greece’s Golden Visa programme, you have a range of cash investment options to choose from. Specific criteria must be met, depending on the type of investment.

Investing in mutual funds

The minimum investment in ALPHA BLUE CHIPS GREEK EQUITY FUND Classic G (Golden Visa) mutual funds, is €350,000 (excluding entry fees). This investment must be directed exclusively toward Greek assets that meet the criteria set by Greek authorities. You must maintain the investment for a minimum of 5 years to retain your residency rights under the Golden Visa programme.

Getting a term deposit 

We offer a term deposit  tied to the Golden Visa programme with a minimum investment of €500,000 and a minimum term of at least 1 year. A standing order for the annual renewal is required.

 

Invest in property

You may also qualify for Golden Visa programme through investment in real estate. Specific criteria must be met based on property value and location.

Investment thresholds by location


The minimum investment value is:

  • €800,000 (increased from €500,000) for real estate in Attica, Thessaloniki, Santorini, Mykonos and islands with over 3,100 residents.
  • €400,000 (increased from €250,000) for all other regions.
  • €250,000 for listed (heritage) or industrial properties converted into residences.

Buying a percentage of indivisible co-ownership is permitted, provided the investment value meets the location-specific thresholds.

Property specifications

The property must occupy a minimum area of 120 square meters.

Properties bought under the Golden Visa programme cannot be rented out on platforms, such as Airbnb, or used for short-term leasing.
