Hospitalisation costs

If you need to be hospitalised in a Luxury, A, B or C type room, you are covered for:

• 100% of the hospitalisation costs in Greece and Europe.
• 80% of the hospitalisation costs in the rest of the world.
• Doctor’s fees or private nurse costs.

Choose the maximum amount of hospitalisation costs you wish to be covered by your health insurance:

• €1,500,000
• €600,000
• €200,000

If you are hospitalised in one of the affiliated hospitals in Greece or abroad, Generali settles the hospitalisation costs directly.

Extra benefits and privileges

Apart from covering your hospitalisation costs, Alpha Global Medical Care also offers you:

• Surgical benefit in case you need surgery.
• Financial aid in case you need to be hospitalised abroad.
• Unique privileges at affiliated hospitals.

Your excess

Your excess is deducted from the total amount of the hospitalisation costs covered by your plan. According to your savings and your monthly budget, you can set your excess at:

• €500 (this sum drops to zero if you also have public health insurance)
• €1,500
• €3,000
• €5,000
• €9,000

Before or after hospitalisation

Unexpected expenses may arise not only during a potential hospitalisation, but also before or after it. With Alpha Global Medical Care you can feel safe that you will have the care you need, when you need it.

Through the 24/7 Health Line you can reach a doctor or healthcare professional whenever you may need it.

Digital My e-Doctor service

Are you on holidays and need immediate medical assistance? Through the digital My e-Doctor service you can:

• Consult doctors of various specialties on the go 24/7 through virtual sessions.
• Check your symptoms through the automated Symptom Checker.
• Create your personal medical file, so that both you and the doctors of My e-Doctor have direct and immediate access to important information regarding your health and medical history.

Fast hospital admission with My Check-In

If you have a scheduled hospitalisation, you can check whether it is covered by your plan before your admission, through the My Check-In. It’s fast and easy. 

If it is covered, Generali informs the hospital directly. As a result, you are exempted from the hospital’s regular check upon your admission.

4% regular check-up discount

Prevention is better than cure. This is why, if you have your routine health check-up every year, we reward you with a 4% discount off your premium upon your policy renewal. The discount applies separately to each one of the dependent members who are covered by your policy.

3% discount with your Alpha Payroll account

You get 3% discount off your premium if you hold an Alpha Payroll account.

Medical care plans without hospitalisation

You have the option of combining Alpha Global Medical Care with an Alpha Health Care insurance plan. Choose between 2 outpatient packages: Standard or Advance. 

Accident package

With the optional accident package, you:

• Are covered for medical expenses in case of accident.
• Receive assistance in your everyday life after a serious incident.
• Secure a payout for your family in case of death or incapacity.

Waiver of premium

You have the option of boosting your plan by adding a waiver of premium rider. This way, if you are no longer able to pay your premium after a serious injury or illness, you can still keep your health insurance plan.
