How it makes banking easier
Debit card linked to your account
Link your payroll account to the debit card you already hold. If you don’t hold a debit card, you can apply online as soon as you open your account.
Interest-free overdraft for the first €200
You may overdraw up to the amount of one net monthly salary through the Alpha Epipleon Overdraft Programme.
The interest rate is 0% for the first €200. For the remaining amount, the nominal interest rate is 11.25%. The Law 128/1975 levy, currently 0.60%, is added to this.
APRC Example:
For €1,500 overdraft with 11.25% nominal interest rate, 0.60% Law 128/75 levy, 3-month term and repayment at maturity, the Annual Percentage Rate of Charge (APRC) is 12.52%.
Free e-statements to track your activity
Every month, you can view an e-statement, i.e. an electronic copy of your account activity, on your e-Banking. You are notified by email when a new e-statement is issued, free of charge. Through your e-Banking you can access the e-statements for the last 18 months.

Can I get the account online?
Apply provided you...
- Have e-Banking credentials.
- Have updated your details at Alpha Bank.
- Are a salaried employee as arising from your declared profession.
- Do not hold another Alpha Payroll account as a sole holder.
Have at hand...
- Your Taxisnet credentials, if you haven’t updated your details and want to do so through eGov-KYC.
- The supporting documents you’ll need, if you haven’t updated your details and choose to do so by uploading the documents.
Open an account through e-Banking
1. Choose Alpha Payroll
2. Confirm your details
Verify that your details are correct and choose “Continue”.
If any changes are required, update your details before you continue.
3. Accept the pre-contractual documents
Go through the pre-contractual documents we sent to your email.
On your mobile or computer screen, check the boxes next to the document titles, to confirm you have received, read and accept them.
Choose “Confirm”.
4. Confirm the application
On myAlpha Web, fill in the 6-digit code you received on your mobile and click on “Continue”.
On myAlpha Mobile, confirm using your biometrics or your 4-digit PIN.
Choose “Continue”.
5. Link your card
The Alpha Payroll account has opened and the IBAN appears.
You can now:
- “Link to a new card”, if you want to apply for a new debit card.
- “Link to an existing card”, if you want to link it to a card you already hold.
Your new account will appear on your e-Banking automatically and you can start using it.

Download and install the myAlpha Mobile app on your mobile, to start your banking relationship with Alpha Bank. Once you complete the process, you can easily open a payroll account for your salary or pension from your computer or mobile.
I already hold an Alpha Payroll account with Alpha Bank but have changed jobs. Do I need to open a new account?
Can I add joint account holders to my account?
Yes. To add joint account holders, book an appointment at one of our branches.
