For withdrawals
- €0 to withdraw cash from Alpha Bank ATMs
- €0.75 to withdraw cash from ΑΤΜs of other financial institutions within the European Union. There is no charge if there are ATMs only from 1 financial institution in the municipal unit where the withdrawal is taking place.
For transactions in foreign currency
Up to 2.5% fees for transactions in foreign currency.
The fees for transactions in foreign currency are converted into euro with the value that Visa sets on the day they are processed.
How to load the card
Your card is loaded only by DYPA or OPEKA with the benefit amount you are entitled to. The card is loaded directly and at no extra charge.
Unload your card whenever you want free of charge:
- Through myAlpha Mobile from a mobile or through myAlpha Web from a computer, by transferring the available amount to another account you hold.
- At any ATM, in Greece or abroad with the Visa logo, by withdrawing up to 50% of the amount paid into your card.
How to get control of your card
Detailed card activity and balance updates
To monitor your prepaid card activity and balance:
- Find your card on your e-Banking (myAlpha Web from your computer or myAlpha Mobile from your mobile).
- Ask for a balance check at an Alpha Bank ATM.
Secure transactions
- Confirm your online transactions with push notification or the 6-digit code you receive with Viber/SMS on your mobile.
- Block your card temporarily if you’re not sure whether you’ve lost it.
- Receive Alpha alerts with Viber / text message or email in real time for every card transaction. For Alpha alerts you pay €1 a month.
Cancel card
If you want to cancel your card, you need to visit a branch near you.
In this case, the card is unloaded, but only up to 50% of the benefit you have received.
How to receive your card
Provided you’ve registered an Alpha Bank IBAN on gov.gr, we issue and send the Alpha Bank Prepaid Visa benefits card at the address you’ve registered with DYPA or OPEKA and confirmed through the platform.
When you receive the card, it is deactivated. Together with the card, we send you instructions on how to receive your PIN.

What benefits you get
Get the Alpha Bank Prepaid Visa
1. Log into the platform
Once you receive an email informing you that your details have been auto-filled, log into the dedicated gov.gr platform using your Taxisnet credentials.
2. Confirm your details
Confirm that the following details are correct:
- Your IBAN with Alpha Bank.
- Your home or postal address where you want to receive your card.
If you want to change any details, fill in the fields from the start.
You need to confirm or register your details within 5 days after you receive the email from DYPA or OPEKA. Otherwise, the application will be submitted with the auto-filled details.
3. Receive the card
You receive the Alpha Bank Prepaid Visa benefits card at the address you confirmed or filled in on the platform.
To use it, you need to get the PIN and activate it.
