Find out about overdrafts
A type of loan
An overdraft is a type of loan. It is a revolving limit, linked to the Alpha Premier or Alpha Payroll account and it is added to your available balance.
Using the debit card linked to your account you can:
- Overdraw your account, partially or in a lump sum, meaning you can use any amount you want up to your approved credit limit.
- Make ATM withdrawals or POS and online payments.
- Pay debts with a standing order.
The interest you pay depends on the overdraft amount and the number of days you use it.
For example, if you need an additional €300 for 10 days, you can overdraw your account and you are ultimately charged with €1 or less, depending on the type of your payroll account.
The charge is calculated with 11.75% nominal interest rate (plus 0.60% Law 128/1975 levy).
With interest paid every 6 months
You can use the approved credit line in a lump sum or partially, without paying instalments on fixed dates. Quite simply, any time you use your credit line, you are charged with interest on the specific amount and for the number of days you use it.
Interest for Alpha Epipleon is charged every 6 months.
