Alpha alerts

Transactions with cards

Get notified every time you use any of your cards to:

• Shop online or in-store, in Greece and abroad. 
• Withdraw cash from your account or get a cash advance from your credit card, at any ATM in Greece or abroad.
  

Activity in accounts

• Transactions using your account or direct debits through standing orders.
• Activity over the transaction limit you have set for your account.
• Activity in your account with cards you have linked to it.
• Amount debited or credited to your account and the new available balance in it.
• Pension deposited in your pension account.
  

e-Banking transactions

• Successful transactions through your e-Banking.
• Unsuccessful transfers or payments through e-Banking.
• Alerts for transfer limit changes.
• Activity linked to your Alpha online Term Deposit.

Through Viber/SMS or email

When you activate Alpha alerts, you choose how you want to receive the alerts:

• Viber notifications, if you have downloaded the app on your mobile.
• SMS texts, if you do not get a Viber notification, have not downloaded the app on your mobile or have blocked Alpha Bank as a sender.
• Email, on the email address you entered when you registered for the alerts.
  

With push notifications

You receive push notifications for:

• Enter Bonus debit cards (Enter Bonus Visa, Enter Bonus Mastercard, Gold Enter Bonus Mastercard, Private Enter Bonus Mastercard, Enter Bonus Business Mastercard, Gold Enter Bonus Business Mastercard).
• Bonus credit cards (Premium Luxury Kalogirou Bonus Mastercard, Classic Luxury Kalogirou Bonus Mastercard, Vodafone Bonus Mastercard, Alpha Bank Bonus Visa, Alpha Bank Bonus Mastercard).
• bizpay prepaid cards.
• Affinity Mastercard and Energy Mastercard credit cards.
• Enter Bonus Business Mastercard, Gold Enter Bonus Business Mastercard and Visa Business cards.
  

You just need to have installed myAlpha Mobile on your mobile and activated push notifications.

The cost for Alpha alerts differs depending on the alerts you wish to receive:

• Cards – €1 for each card.
• Accounts – Free for email alerts. €1.90 a month for Viber/SMS alerts, provided you receive at least 1 message within the month. This is the total cost for the service, regardless of the number of accounts you have linked.
• Transactions through your e-Banking – Free.

You can activate Alpha alerts through myAlpha Web. Log in using your e-Banking credentials and choose: Settings > Manage alerts. Then, depending on the alerts you want to get:

For account alerts

1. Click on “Activate”.
2. Click on “Continue”, provided you accept the detailed terms.
3. Choose the account to be charged if you want to get alerts through SMS/Viber.
4. For each account, you can choose how you want to receive Alpha alerts (SMS/Viber and email).
5. Choose “Account Alerts” to open the account tab.
6. Manage your alerts and choose the transactions for which you want to receive alerts.
   

You can change the Alpha alerts settings at any time. When you repeat the process, click on “Edit” in Step 1.

For card alerts

1. Click on “Activate”.
2. Click on “Continue”, provided you accept the detailed terms.
3. All your cards appear listed. Activate the alerts (through SMS/Viber and email) using the slider on the right of each card.
4. Through “Alert settings”, you can choose the transactions for which you want to receive alerts. Choose the amount for withdrawals and purchases (over €100 or over €300).
   

You can change the Alpha alerts settings at any time. When you repeat the process, click on “Edit” in Step 1.

For online transaction alerts

You don’t need to activate alerts for your online transactions. They are sent automatically through email and/or SMS, at no extra charge.
