Getting your new card PIN

Get your PIN for your new Alpha Bank card in a flash, through your e-Banking. Otherwise, get your PIN by text message, over the phone or by appointment at a branch.

Through e-Banking
Receive your card PIN on the spot through your mobile or computer, provided you’ve got e-Banking credentials.
By text message, appointment or phone
If you haven’t signed up to e-Banking, you can get your PIN in other ways.
Perfectly secure
The PIN is sent by text message to the mobile number you’ve registered with Alpha Bank.

How to get your card PIN online

Log into myAlpha Mobile from your mobile or myAlpha Web from your computer.

1. Locate your card

Once you receive your card in physical form:

  • On myAlpha Mobile, find it on the home screen (Overview). If you can’t locate it there, log into myAlpha Web to add it.
  • On myAlpha Web, find it on the home screen (Overview). If you cannot locate it there, you can add it.

2. Choose settings

On myAlpha Mobile, tap on the arrow to the right of the card. Then choose “Settings”.

On myAlpha Web, click on the 3 dots to the right of the card. Then choose “Settings”. 

3. Confirm the mobile number

Confirm that your mobile number is correct.

4. Get the PIN

You receive the PIN by text message on your mobile, provided you have a Greek mobile number.

Memorise your PIN and then delete the text message.

If you don’t have a Greek mobile number, you receive the PIN by post, at a €3 charge.

How to get your card PIN without e-Banking

Find out how you can get your PIN if you haven’t got e-Banking credentials.

By text message

From the mobile number you’ve registered with Alpha Bank, send the following text message to 19129:

P (in Latin script), (space), application reference number (sent to you by text message when you applied for the card), (space), identification code (you can find the code at the bottom of the letter you received with your card).

E.g. P 34567 45678

You receive the PIN by text message on your mobile.

The cost of getting the PIN by text message is €0.13 plus VAT and mobile telephony tax.

I have forgotten my card PIN. What should I do?

You can ask us to remind you your PIN online: 

From your computer through myAlpha Web 

  1. Find your card on the home screen (Overview). 
  2. Click on the 3 dots on the right of the card and choose “Send PIN”. 
  3. Confirm that your mobile phone number is correct and click on “Send”. If you wish to receive your PIN on another mobile number, you should first update your contact details, and specifically your mobile number.

From your mobile phone through myAlpha Mobile 

  1. On the home screen, scroll down to the Cards section and tap on the card you need a new PIN for. 
  2. Tap on “Settings”. 
  3. Tap on “Send PIN”. 
  4. Confirm that your mobile phone number is correct and tap on “Send”. If you wish to receive your PIN on another mobile number, you should first update your contact details, and specifically your mobile number.
