What is the interest rate and what are the fees
From 17.75% interest rate
The interest rate for the Energy Mastercard is:
- 17.75% when you shop
- 19% when you withdraw cash
- +2.50% to the interest rates above for default interest rate
The 0.60% Law 128/1975 levy is added to the interest rates.

Up to 2 add-on cards free of charge
The annual fee for the Energy Mastercard is:
- €30 for the main card, free for the 1st year
- €0 for up to 2 add-on cards
How to get control of your card
Detailed card activity updates
To keep track of your credit card activity:
- Find your card on e-Banking (myAlpha Web from your computer or myAlpha Mobile from your mobile).
- Check the monthly Alpha e-statements on your e-Banking.
- Ask for a card activity statement at Alpha Bank ATMs and APS.
Secure transactions
- Receive Alpha alerts with Viber / text message or email in real time for every card transaction.
- Confirm your online transactions with push notifications or the 6-digit code you receive with Viber / text message on your mobile, through myAlpha Secure Web.
- Change your card withdrawal limit online through your e-Banking.
- Lock your card temporarily if you’re not sure whether you’ve lost it.
How to repay the card
Every month
The minimum amount you pay every month is 2% of your card balance.
However, you can pay whatever amount you want, as many times as you want.
No fees
- By standing order from your own Alpha Bank account
- By transferring money from your account, from your computer through myAlpha Web or from your mobile through myAlpha Mobile
- At an Alpha Bank ΑΤΜ or APS
What you gain
Energy euros every time you shop
The Energy Mastercard credit card is linked to the Energy loyalty programme.
This way, every time you shop, you collect Energy euros:
- 3% of the value when you buy motor fuel or heating oil at partner Shell service stations.
- 1% of the value when you shop at any business in Greece and abroad, in-store or online.
Discounts with Energy euros
Redeem your Energy euros and earn discounts when you shop at partner Shell service stations.

Up to 12 interest-free instalments
With the Energy Mastercard you can pay for heating oil in up to 12 interest-free instalments:
- At any partner Shell service station
- Over the phone on 18330
What benefits you get
Can I get the credit card?
Apply provided you...
- Are 18-75 years old.
- Live permanently in Greece.
- Have Greek proof of ID.
- Have a Greek mobile number.
Have at hand...
- Copy of your proof of ID.
- Recent tax clearance certificate. You’ll find it on Taxisnet, under “Digital Tax Determination Act”.
- Recent copy of monthly payslip for salaried employees or pension slip for pensioners.
- A recent mobile phone bill.
The files must be in .jpeg, .jpg, .doc, .docx or .pdf format, up to 30ΜΒ in total.

Fill in the application form
Enter the details in the tabs:
- Personal
- Home
- Professional
- Financial
- Card
If you want to get an add-on card for someone else, choose “Add-on card” and click on +. Enter the details in the fields.
2. Attach the supporting documents
In the “Card details” tab, attach the necessary supporting documents so we may verify your details.
Enter the code that appears on the bottom of the screen.
Click on “Submit application”.
3. Get the card
You receive an email with your application number to track its progress.
As soon as you get pre-approval for the Energy Mastercard, we contact you to arrange a time for you to sign the necessary documents.
You receive the actual card by post in 8-10 working days.

I cannot find my new card on myAlpha Web. How can I add it?
- Scroll down on the home screen (Overview). Under “Credit and Prepaid Cards” and “Loyalty Programme”, select “Add another product”.
- Click on “Alpha Bank”.
- Select “Card” from the drop-down list.
- Type your card number.
- Click on “Add”.
What are my card management options through e-Banking?
You can fully manage your debit, credit and prepaid cards through myAlpha Web and myAlpha Mobile. Specifically, you have the following options:
For your security
- Activate and cancel your cards.
- View the card activity and save copies of your statements.
- Report a stolen or lost card, automatically cancel it and opt for a replacement.
- Block or unblock your cards.
- Get an SMS with your card PIN on your registered mobile phone number, free of charge.
- Activate and deactivate the option to use your card for online transactions, and transactions at an ATM or POS.
For you transactions
- Pay your credit card.
- Change the daily purchase limit on your debit cards.
- Change the daily cash withdrawal limit on your credit and debit cards.
- Top up your prepaid cards or remove funds from them.
- Transfer Bonus points to other card holders.
In addition, only through myAlpha Web you can:
- Activate and deactivate the option to pay off your credit cards.
- Change the account linked to your card and/or link another account.
- Activate Alpha alerts for your cards and specify how you want to receive notifications according to your preferences.
Can I add my card to the digital wallets without having e-Banking credentials?
No. To add your cards to your digital wallets you must:
- Have e-Banking credentials.
- Have downloaded and logged into the myAlpha Mobile app.
If you hold an active Alpha Bank debit or credit card, you can get credentials on the spot, without visiting a branch.
