Phishing emails
How this scam works
You need to be extremely cautious with these fraudulent emails, as they do look quite real. They may contain very accurate copies of logos, features and texts.
If you happened to follow a link contained in such an email and shared your credentials or authorised a transaction you did not make with a Push Notification, you must call us immediately on +302103260000. After listening to the recording, say “suspicion of fraud” and your call will be immediately directed to an Alpha Bank employee.
For fraud-related issues, our helpline is available 24/7.
How to protect yourself
To better protect yourself, you can look out for specific signs that point to a phishing email.
Links
You must be cautious with these, too, as the title of the link may be different from the address it leads to.
To check whether there is a discrepancy between the title and the address the link will redirect you to, you only need to hover your mouse pointer over the link without actually clicking on it.
