What benefits you get

Barcode for bill payments

At an APS, you may pay your bills in a flash, without entering the electronic payment code. Just make sure there’s a barcode on your bill.

During the transaction, a sample of the bill you're paying appears on screen, indicating the location of the barcode.

  • Locate the barcode on your bill.
  • Scan the barcode on the APS barcode reader and pay.

Attention: For payments to the government you must have your card with you for transaction verification.

Up to €10 in change

There's no need to have the exact amount when carrying out transactions in cash. An APS can give change up to €10.

Adding details to deposits

When you make a deposit, you have the option to add deposit details up to 20 characters in Greek or English, such as your name or other information.

This way, the person receiving the amount will know that the deposit was made by you.

1 payment for up to 3 transactions

If you want to carry out multiple transactions, you can make 1 total payment in cash for up to 3 transactions and receive separate receipts for each. Any change will be returned to you once, at the end of the total payment.

Paying credit cards bills of other Greek banks

At an APS, you can pay credit card bills for cards issued by other Greek banks in a flash, just by entering the number of the credit card you wish to pay.

You can pay in cash and your balance is updated according to each bank’s process.

What are the fees

For deposits and payments

  • Free of charge for deposits and payments to Alpha Bank accounts, loans and cards.
  • According to the price list for payments to companies and organisations.
  • €1 per transaction for payments of credit cards issued by other banks.

Attention: Additional fees may apply from the other bank that has issued the credit card.

For loading/reloading prepaid cards

  • Unlimited free loading for the bleep Smile Visa.
  • Free of charge the 1st time and then a 1% fee on the amount, with €1 minimum and €5 maximum fee, for the Alpha Bank Prepaid Mastercard.

Any questions?

Find the answers you need for the e-statements.

What details are required to make a payment at an APS?

You only need the e-payment number. If you do not know how to find this number on your bill, the APS provides relevant on-screen information.

You can enter the number or scan the barcode, as long as you carry a physical copy of the bill to be paid.

The transaction details I entered on the APS are incorrect. What should I do?

You can ask the branch staff for help.

Can I use the APS if I do not have my card or have forgotten my PIN?

Yes. You can make any cash transaction, except for payments to government services. For payments to government services, your card is required as proof of ID.
