Today, the Foundation cares for 170 citizens with incurable conditions that make them unable to serve themselves (paraplegic or tetraplegic patients, people with multiple sclerosis and other conditions of the central nervous system, primarily characterized by mobility disorders). With the valuable support of donors, sponsors and benefactors, we ensure full medical and nursing care, nutrition and above all dignity and freedom for all these people. Without any support from the State (quite the contrary, as we had to cope with huge tax burdens during the last few years), we have come this far with our donors’ support and we hope to be able to continue to rely on it as we move forward, committed to our sole purpose, which is to provide palliative care to the people who need it. The financial assistance you will offer us will be used to finance the renovation of one wing of our hospital and its adaptation to the modern specifications for people with disabilities.
