Thus, through them, Alpha Bank enables the visitors/users to be updated on the Bank and its Group of companies, as well as on its products and services, and to browse the pages and the offered services. Please read carefully the following Terms of Use.

The use of the Alpha Bank webpages in the Social Media implies the full and unreserved acceptance of the Terms of Use, which apply to the entire content of these webpages. If the visitors/users do not accept these Terms of Use, they must exit these webpages and make no further use of them.

By visiting or using the Alpha Bank webpages in the Social Media, visitors/users acknowledge that they have read, understood and unconditionally accepted the following Terms of Use and have agreed to be bound hereby. Alpha Bank may modify the present terms at anytime, without prior notice, by announcing any such modification through its Social Media webpages. The use of the Alpha Bank webpages in the Social Media following the announcement of the modification shall be deemed to constitute an acceptance of this modification.

A. Copyright / Intellectual & Industrial Property Rights

The entire content of the Alpha Bank webpages in the Social Media, including but not limited to trademarks, distinctive titles, texts, news, photographs, images, offered services, is owned by Alpha Bank and is governed by the relevant provisions of Greek and International Law, mainly concerning Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights, with the exception of protected third-party rights.

Consequently, no modification, publication, transmission, transfer, reproduction, distribution, presentation or any use of the content -in whole or in part- of the Alpha Bank webpages in the Social Media is permitted in any way or by any means for commercial or other purposes, without the prior written consent of Alpha Bank. Exceptionally, isolated copying, printing or storage of the aforesaid content is permitted for the visitor’s personal use, provided that it is accompanied by a clear and distinct acknowledgement of the source of origin and that it will not be used for commercial or other purposes.

The visitor/user of the Alpha Bank webpages in the Social Media who posts texts,photographs and all kinds of material warrants that he/she is legally authorised to use these and acknowledges adherence to the laws on Industrial and Intellectual Property Rights.  

B. User Conduct

The Alpha Bank webpages in the Social Media shall be used for lawful purposes only and without restricting or inhibiting their use by any third party. The visitors/users of
the Alpha Bank webpages in the Social Media should comply with the rules and provisions of the Greek, European and International Law and the legislation governing telecommunications and refrain from any illegal and abusive behaviour which may have a negative impact on other visitors/users and cause damage to or malfunction of the Alpha Bank webpages in the Social Media and by extension to Alpha Bank.

Alpha Bank reserves the right to delete, immediately and without further notice to the users, any kind of content such as texts, videos or photographs in case of noncompliance
with the present Terms of Use. Therefore, Alpha Bank reserves the right to delete any posts and/or users’ comments, including but not limited to those which:
  • are threatening, abusive, defamatory, indecent or objectionable
  • are intended to deceive
  • infringe copyright
  • violate any law or regulation
  • are offensive in terms of religious or political beliefs
  • contain users’ personal data.
In the event that the Bank finds itself involved in any litigation or is required to pay any kind of compensation to third parties as a result of a breach by the visitors/users
of their obligations, the visitors/users shall compensate the Bank accordingly. 

C. Links to third party websites

The Alpha Bank webpages in the Social Media enable its visitors/users to be transferred via special connections (links, hyperlinks, banners) to third-party
websites. The content of such linked sites is the sole responsibility of the respective third parties providing them. Alpha Bank does not warrant the availability of such
sites and in no event shall be liable for the content, correctness, legality, completeness, updates and accuracy of the information or the quality and properties
of the products or services offered to the public through the aforesaid websites. The links to other websites are provided solely as a convenience to visitors/users and
under no circumstances shall be deemed to constitute or imply an undertaking or warranty or inducement or endorsement by the Bank either of the content or the
quality of the services provided therein. 

D. Limitation of Liability

Alpha Bank, with no warranty or liability, makes every possible effort to ensure that all information provided by its webpages in the Social Media is complete, accurate,
up-to-date and clear. However, Alpha Bank, under no circumstances, even in the event of negligence, shall be liable for any errors, omissions or deficiencies
concerning the provision of information, any delay, interruption or failure to transmit information or any damage caused to the visitors/users due to the use of such
information.

The content of the Alpha Bank webpages in the Social Media does not constitute a financial, legal or other advice, inducement or incitement for conducting an
investment or any other transaction and Alpha Bank in no event shall be liable for any use of its webpages in the Social Media by the visitors/users who act on their
own will.

E. Security

Access to the Alpha Bank webpages in the Social Media is provided on the initiative of the visitors/users and not on the initiative of Alpha Bank.

The visitors/users of the Alpha Bank webpages in the Social Media are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining the necessary equipment (e.g. personal
computer), software, telecommunication equipment and any other service needed to access the Alpha Bank webpages in the Social Media. Users are also responsible for
protecting their system against viruses and other malicious software. 

Alpha Bank does not warrant that the content of the Alpha Bank webpages in the Social Media will be free from viruses, errors and other harmful components and consequently in no event shall be liable for any damage caused to the abovementioned users’ equipment, software and files, as well as for any damage suffered by the users, due to any of the above causes. 

F. Personal Data

The management and protection of personal data of the visitors/users of the Alpha Bank webpages in the Social Media are governed by the present Terms of Use, the provisions of Greek Law (L. 2472/1997, as currently in force, and the regulatory provisions) and the Decisions, Directives and Regulations of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).

Without prejudice to the provisions of the following paragraph, the personal data will not be communicated to any third party unless applicable law requires the disclosure
of such data to the competent Authorities only. The aforesaid data may be stored and processed by the Bank for communication and statistical purposes as well as to improve the offered services. By using the Alpha Bank webpages in the Social Media, the visitors/users give their consent for the use of such data by the Bank and its associated companies.

The Alpha Bank webpages in the Social Media may contain special connections (links, hyperlinks, banners) to other websites operated by third parties. Should the visitors/users choose to follow the links to third-party websites, the Bank in no event shall be responsible for the terms concerning the management and protection of personal data, applicable to the linked sites.

In any case, the visitors/users of the Alpha Bank webpages in the Social Media have the right to access the data relating to them and the right to object to the processing of such data. 

G. Governing Law - Miscellaneous

The present contract of use is governed by the Greek Law. The Courts of the City of Athens are exclusively competent to interpret the present terms and to settle any dispute arising from the present contract of use. If any of the present terms is held to be contrary to the law and consequently void or voidable, the invalidity or unenforceability of such term shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining terms.
