What it offers you

Third-party threat protection for your online transactions

You are covered for up to €2,000 a year for financial damages due to unauthorised third-party activities (online fraud) that results in loss of money from your:

  • Bank accounts (e.g. through e-Banking)
  • Credit or debit cards (e.g. through digital wallets)

Online shopping coverage

You are covered for up to €2,000 a year for financial damages arising from online shopping, if:

  • The products have not been delivered within at least 4 weeks from the agreed delivery date or the period specified when you checked out.
  • Only part of the products and not all the products ordered have been delivered at the shipment address.
  • The products were delivered, but are different to the ones you bought online.
  • The products delivered have been significantly damaged.

You pay a €50 excess per damage.

How it protects your data

If your digital identity is stolen

If your digital identity is stolen, you are covered for tech support, so you can:

  • Recover your digital identity.
  • Change your credentials, in line with the best practices for each case.

Meanwhile, the tech assistant:

  • Locates the cause of the incident.
  • Runs checks to determine whether your digital identity has been leaked on the internet.

Legal expenses coverage

With a maximum coverage limit of €500 a year, you are covered for legal expenses you may need to pay to safeguard your legal interests, exclusively if the digital identity theft cover is activated.

Recovery of your data

You are covered for the tech support fees of the associated company that retrieves your data from:

  • All types of internal and external hard drives located inside or linked to laptops or desktops.
  • All types of internal or external SSDs.

The storage units may have suffered damages from any cause, such as mechanical or electrical issues, damage to standard software or even erroneous actions by you, such as data deletion or hard drive formatting.

You are covered for 1 data recovery a year for hard drives you have bought in the last 4 years.

How you manage it

Automatic renewal

Your insurance is automatically renewed every year by standing order.

Cancellation by request to Generali

If you want to cancel your insurance policy, sent a written request by email to Generali or fill in the contact form.

1. Choose insurance plan

On the menu choose “New products”.

In the “Insurance products” section choose Alpha Cyber Security.

You may take the quiz to determine whether you are at risk of data loss, depending on how often you use the internet.

Read the insurance plan information and choose “Get insured”.

2. Accept the terms

Read the informational document, the insurance terms (only in Greek) and the rest of the documents sent to your email.

Click on “Confirm” to accept the terms.

3. Choose payment method

Confirm your details and choose the account you’ll use to pay your premium.

Check that all the details are correct before you proceed and choose “Continue”.

4. Complete the application

Create, accept and submit your application.

Choose “Submit”.

You’ll get the insurance policy by email from Generali, once the premium has been paid.

What is the data recovery?

It is the process of salvaging your electronic data if, for any reason, you have no access to the medium where you have stored them.

Who do I contact to make a claim and use the services?

Contact the tech support provider over the phone on +30 210 444 7860 (24/7).

You must contact them and make a claim no later than 24 hours from the time you realise that the damage has occurred.
