The interest rate is fixed, at 6.50%. However, the interest is 100% subsidised through the programme, so you only pay the Law 128/75 levy (0.12%).
Up to 75% capital subsidy
Receive a state-funded loan amounting to 75% of the project budget for the works you’ll be carrying out in your home.
Greek-state guarantee
Secure a guarantee from the Greek state if your personal income is ≤ €5,000 or your family income is ≤ €10,000.
Loan amount and term Up to €13,500 / 4-6 years
  • Up to €13,500 for 4, 5 or 6 years Secure up to €13,500 financing, based on the incentive category. Repay the loan in 4, 5 or 6 years, depending on your needs and profile.
  • Up to 100% of the remaining value Provided you participate in the programme, you may receive a loan for up to 100% of the amount you’ll be contributing for the energy upgrade works.
  • 0€ for fees and expenses You don’t pay any fees for the energy inspector, technical advisor, electronic identity card and designs, or any loan application expenses.
  • Collateral-free Receive financing without needing to place a mortgage lien on property to secure the loan.

Conditions apply for the property

To receive financing through the Exoikonomo 2023 Programme, the property must:

Be used as a main residence.

Have a legal permit.

Not have been marked for demolition.

Classified at least under category C or lower, based on the Energy Performance Certificate.

8.75% fixed interest rate.

Zero loan application fees.

This way, you may finance any interventions considered non-eligible under the programme for you main residence or another property you own.

What are the deadlines for the programme?

The applications were filed in 2 rounds:

  • Round 1, for all income categories – 12.06.2023 to 15.06.2023.
  • Round 2, exclusively for income category 1 – 07.02.2024 to 29.03.2024.

What supporting documents do I need for the Exoikonomo 2023 loan?

Provided you have been included in the programme and have chosen to cover your participation with a loan, you need supporting documents for the loan pre-approval.

For salaried employees or pensioners

  • Current ID card or passport
  • Income tax clearance certificate for the last year from IAPR.
  • Latest payroll slip or monthly pension slip
  • Residence and work permit, for foreigners

For freelancers or company partners/shareholders:

  • Current ID card or passport
  • Income tax clearance certificate for the last 2 years from IAPR  – 2separate documents
  • Insurance clearance certificate
  • Residence and work permit, for foreigners

Unemployed

  • Current ID card or passport
  • Income tax clearance certificate for the last year

How do I pay my loan instalment?
