How to activate the virtual use of your new card

Log into myAlpha Mobile
Log in to myAlpha Mobile with your or credentials or biometrics. If you have not downloaded the app to your mobile, you can do so for free:



Find your new card
Tap on your new card on the home screen (Overview) as soon as we issue it, in up to 3 business days from the time you submitted your application.
If you cannot locate your card on the home screen, look for it from the menu on the top left, under “Cards”.
Add the new card to your digital wallet
Tap on “Add to digital wallet” to add your new card to Apple Pay or Google Pay.
To complete the process, fill in the code you received through SMS or email. Otherwise, confirm with biometrics.
To add the card, you need to have downloaded the latest version of the myAlpha Mobile app.
If you have a wearable device, you can also add your card to that.
However, to be able to shop online, you must also activate the “Shop online” setting. Go to the home screen (Overview), tap on your card and then tap on “Settings”.
You’re all set! You can now use your new card for your day-to-day transactions at contacteless POS devices or online. It’s that simple, fast and secure.
Once you actually receive your new card, you must activate it online.

Which new cards offer the virtual use of card option before actually receiving them?
Personal or business debit, credit and prepaid cards which are:
- Issued for the first time.
- Re-issued with the same number, in case or loss or theft of the card.
Do I retain all the benefits of my new card with the virtual use of card?
Yes, you do (e.g. collecting and redeeming Bonus points, Affinity euros, Energy euros). It applies to all debit, credit and prepaid cards issued by Alpha Bank, with the exception of:
- Aegean Bonus Visa debit card
- Aegean Bonus Visa credit card
- Aegean Bonus Visa Premium credit card
For these cards, you enjoy all the benefits once you receive the actual card and activate it.
Where can I find my card details?
Log into myAlpha Mobile. Tap on your card on the Overview page. Then tap on “Card Info”.
To view your card details, the device will ask for the 4-digit PIN you have set for logging into myAlpha Mobile or biometrics. Now you can see the:
- Card number
- Expiry date
- 3-digit CVV
What are my card management options on myAlpha Web?
You can fully manage your debit, credit and prepaid cards:
For your security
- Report a stolen or lost card, automatically cancel it and opt for a replacement.
- Block or unblock your cards.
- Activate and cancel your cards.
- Get an SMS with your card PIN on your registered mobile phone number, free of charge.
For your transactions
- Change the daily purchase limit on your debit cards.
- Change the daily cash withdrawal limit on your credit and debit cards.
- Top up your prepaid cards or remove funds from them.
- Transfer Bonus points to other card holders.
What is a CVV?
It is printed on a white strip on the back of your actual card.
