Find out how factoring and forfaiting work

Have a look at all the types and find out how they work.

With or without insolvency risk coverage

You assign the invoices for collection to ABC Factors and they undertake to manage and collect your receivables, based on your credit policy. Once they assess your customers and the receivables, they pay the invoice amount to your business. This way you boost your liquidity.

If your customers fail to pay their invoices, you:

  • Repay ABC Factors for the financing you received, if you choose factoring on a recourse basis.
  • Are covered against the financial damage by ABC Factors, provided the default is due to insolvency reasons, if you choose factoring on a non-recourse basis.

Strong relationships with suppliers abroad

With import factoring, your suppliers abroad ensure the collection of their receivables from the goods and/or services you buy.

This way, with the guarantee of ABC Factors you:

  • Forge relationships of trust with your suppliers.
  • Secure more favourable credit terms.

Security and cash flow for international transactions

If you export products, export factoring makes your day-to-day business easier, as it offers:

  • Liquidity boost with advance payment for export receivables.
  • 100% coverage of insolvency risk, in case your customers fail to pay their invoices.
  • Flexibility in managing collections according to your transaction habits and the legislation in each country.
  • Legal support if you need to claim assigned receivables.

Up to 100% advance payment

With forfaiting you receive up to 100% of your receivables from customers abroad as an advance, minus fees, for:

  1. Transactions that have a medium- or long-term credit period.
  2. Payments made with letters of credit, guaranteed bills of exchange or promissory notes.

Non-recourse facility

You’re completely free of credit risk in case of customer insolvency. And you’re protected against interest rate and foreign currency risks.

Liquidity for the entire supply chain

With reverse factoring, ABC Factors pays your suppliers immediately. This way you secure a longer credit period.
