Transactions BACK

What does the option to block the amount of a transfer mean?

For a transaction scheduled for execution at a future date, you can choose whether or not you want to block the amount in your account, until the execution date of the transaction.

In particular:

  • If you choose to block the amount, the amount will be blocked in your account without any interest loss.
  • If you choose not to block the amount, you will have to ensure the availability of adequate balance in your account by 22:00 hrs of the working day, before the selected execution date, otherwise the transaction will fail.

You can be notified of unsuccessful orders (those that failed to be executed) via the Alpha Alerts service, provided you have activated the service by choosing Services > Alpha Alerts > Electronic Banking Transactions.  Find out more about the Alpha Alerts service.
