How can I be certain that I browse the Alpha Bank website?

Use the Alpha Bank e-services only through the official Alpha Bank website (www.alphabank.gr) and not through links from other sites.

Before using the Alpha Bank e-services, make sure you are in Alpha Bank’s secure transactional environment:

If you use Internet Explorer:

1. Click on the green "lock" displayed on the upper part of the Internet Explorer window:
2. A dialogue box is displayed. Select "Details" on the upper part of the box.
3. Select the field “Subject”.
4. The item "Common Name (CN)” should display www.alpha.gr or www.alphabank.gr.
5. The item "Organisation (O)" must display "Alpha Bank SA".

If you use Mozilla Firefox:

1. Click on the green "lock" displayed on the upper part of the Mozilla Firefox window:
2. A dialogue box is displayed with "Security" pre-selected.
3. Select the field "View".
4. A dialogue box is displayed with "Security" / "General" pre-selected.
5. In the field "Issued to", the item "Common Name (CN)" should display www.alpha.gr.
6. In the field "Issued to", the item "Organisation (O)" must display "Alpha Bank SA".
