How my child activates myAlpha Vibe

When the card is all set, your child:

  1. Receives an SMS to download the myAlpha Vibe app.
  2. Pairs their app to yours, after giving you the 8-digit code or the QR code that appears on their mobile.
  3. Creates a Username and Password for their profile.
  4. Registers their mobile number with the bank through a confirmation code, and activates biometrics and the Push Notifications. If the push notifications were not activated the first time the child logged into the app, they can do so any time they wish through the app settings under Profile > Settings.
  5. Reads and accepts the terms of use, the personal data notice and the cookies policy.

How my child uses the card

The child can keep track of the card through myAlpha Vibe, a specially designed version of myAlpha Mobile.

They can use their pocket money to shop online and at POS devices. Through myAlpha Web, they:

  • Add the virtual prepaid MyAlpha Vibe Mastercard to their Apple Pay or Google Pay digital wallet. They may also add their card to the Garmin Pay and Xiaomi Pay digital wallets, but not through the app.
  • Find their card details to shop online.
  • Receive updates on the card balance.

Your child approves their own transactions, through push notifications on their mobile. If the push notifications were not activated the first time they logged into the app, they can do so any time they wish through the app settings under Profile > Settings.

For your child to be able to add the card to their digital wallet they must meet the manufacturer’s age criteria:

  • 15+ for Apple Pay.
  • 15+ for Google Pay.
  • No age limit for Xiaomi Pay.
  • 16+ for Garmin Pay.
