Alpha Payroll Deposit Account

• Have e-Banking credentials.
• Have updated your details and make sure that your salaried employee status is evidenced by your declared profession. You can easily update your details online through your e-Banking.
• Not hold another Alpha Payroll account as a sole account holder with Alpha Bank.

You don’t have to deposit a minimum amount to open the account.

All the benefits and discounts apply as soon as you receive your salary for the 1st time in your Alpha Payroll account, and continue to apply for as long as you keep receiving your salary in this account. If you stop receiving a salary for 6 consecutive months, the benefits are automatically revoked.

Debit card linked to your account

Link your payroll account to the debit card you already hold. If you hold a Bonus card, you can enjoy the Bonus loyalty programme benefits every time you shop.

If you don’t hold a debit card, you can apply online as soon as your account is opened.

Interest-free overdraft for the first €200

You may overdraw up to the amount of one net monthly salary through the Alpha Epipleon Overdraft Programme.

The interest rate is 0% for the first €200. For the remaining amount, the nominal interest rate is 11.25%. The Law 128/1975 levy, currently 0.60%, is added to this.

APRC Example: For a €1,500 overdraft amount with 11.25% nominal interest rate, 0.60% Law 128/75 levy, 3-month term and repayment at maturity, the Annual Percentage Rate of Charge (APRC) is 12.52%.

Favourable interest rate and quarterly interest payment

You get a favourable interest rate of:

• 0.20% on amounts up to €1,000.
• 0.01% on amounts starting from €1,001, for the entire account balance.
  

Interest is paid every 3 months.

Free services for your account 

Along with the Alpha Payroll account you get free:

• Standing orders.
• 1 cheque book (10 pages) every year. If you need additional cheque books, you can get them at a 50% discount.

For your Alpha Bank Bonus Visa or Alpha Bank Bonus Mastercard you:

• Pay no annual fee for your main card and 2 additional cards.
• Secure 1% off the interest rate on your purchases.
