Convert up to USD 500,000 per transaction or the equivalent in another currency.

Convert the amount you need in foreign currency Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:30.
The amount is available in your business account at Alpha Bank whenever you choose:
- On the same day
- In 1 or 2 days business days
What you need to convert currency online
Make conversions online provided you…
- Hold a business account with Alpha Bank.
- Have active digital banking credentials.
How to convert in FX online
1. Log into business web banking
2. Choose Web FX
On the home screen (Overview), choose “Transfers” from the top menu.
Then choose “Web FX”.
3. Choose the accounts
Choose:
- From which business account (From).
- To which business account (To).
Attention: The accounts must be in the currency you want to convert into. For example, if you want to convert USD into euro, you choose transfer from your account in USD to your account in euro.
4. Fill in the details
Fill in 1 of the following:
- Sale amount, i.e. the amount you want to convert.
- Buy amount, i.e. the amount you want to receive in another currency.
When you enter an amount in 1 of the 2 fields, the converted amount appears in the other field, as well as the transaction fees. The exchange rate displayed is indicative and is finalised when you confirm the transaction.
You may also enter a description.
Choose whether you want to amount to be available in your account:
- In 2 business days
- On the next business day
- On the same day
Choose “Continue”.
5. Confirm the transaction
Check the details. If they are correct, choose "Submit”.
The exchange rate is valid for 60 seconds. If the time expires, click on “Renew rate” and check the details again.

I hold a business sight account in foreign currency with Alpha Bank. Can I make transfers from that account as well?
Yes, through your business digital banking you can make transfers:
- In the currency of your account, to any account you hold with Alpha Bank.
- In euro, up to the equivalent of USD 500,000, to any account your business holds with Alpha Bank, after converting your currency online through Web FX for businesses. To convert currency online, your FX account must be held in US dollar (USD), Pound sterling (GBP), Swiss franc (CHF) or Japanese yen (JPY).
- Up to USD 500,000 or the equivalent amount in another currency to other banks through direct money transfers with currency conversion.
Does my special pricing apply when I convert currency online?
Can I cancel a transaction I carried out through Web FX?
No. You cannot cancel transactions you carried out through Web FX.
However, if you don’t need the foreign currency, you can reverse the transaction. That is sell the amount and currency you previously bought on that day’s exchange rate. This way you will once again have your funds in the original currency.
