At a glance

Since 2023 we have been participating in the Global Money Week (GMW) organised by the OECD, with the Bank of Greece as national coordinator. It is a global awareness-raising campaign that aims to disseminate and showcase the importance of financial literacy among young people. In the context of the Financial Health & Inclusion strategic pillar, for the 3rd year running we organised multifaceted initiatives specially designed for population groups the OECD has labelled as financially vulnerable.

Supporting equal access to financial literacy

Though our solid support for the Global Money Week.

Turning our values into action

Our participation in the Global Money Week (GMW) forms part of our corporate responsibility initiatives. This way, we support our commitment towards inclusion and equal access to financial education. The activities we offer are fully aligned with the national strategy for financial literacy. Our educational programmes have been approved by the Ministry of Education and are addressed to children, teachers, women, people over 55 and the general public.

In 2025, we enhanced our participation with initiatives in regional cities, such as Patras and Corfu, as well as with new approaches, such as the targeted information plan and digital presentations. Our participation in the CSR in Action conference showcased the IQonomy initiative and confirmed our role as an institutional body to support financial training.

Creating the right conditions

Our 1st participation in the Global Money Week in 2023 was met with great success, as we were the only Greek systemic bank to participate and our initiatives were included in the OECD best practices. Our 2nd participation in 2024 was just as successful, since we hosted multifaceted activities, addressed to various population groups. Our 3rd participation in 2025 solidifies our constant and meaningful contribution to enhancing financial resilience through innovative, affordable and socially beneficial initiatives.
