Branch Network

At a glance

We stand by the side of persons with visual or hearing impairments and vulnerable groups, supporting accessible cultural initiatives in partnership with prominent cultural institutions. Through initiatives related to theatre, cinema, opera, music, literature and fine arts, we promote the role of art in the Greek society, aiming to showcase our cultural heritage.

Opening museums and theatres to everyone

Accessible productions at the National Theatre of Greece

We’ve established accessible productions at the National Theatre of Greece to ensure both adults and children with visual or hearing impairments can attend theatrical performances.

In partnership with the National Theatre, the largest theatre company in Greece, we have staged a total of 19 universally accessible performances since 2023. This way, we have offered our fellow citizens with disabilities the chance to attend live theatre plays, while also promoting the concept of inclusion and a consciousness of social integration to the Greek society.

Together in activities for people aged 60+

We are implementing educational and cultural activities for people aged over 60, with guided tours and cultural experiences tailored to their needs. We support the initiatives of the B&E Goulandris Foundation for people aged 60+ and persons with mild cognitive impairment, through the "Games for Adults", "Digital Games for Adults” and “The Museum in regional Greece” programmes.

Accessible activities at the “Kykladitisses” exhibition

On the occasion of our sponsorship of the periodic archaeological exhibition “Kykladitisses: Untold stories of women in the Cyclades” jointly organised by the Ministry of Culture Ephorate of Antiquities of Cyclades and the Museum of Cycladic Art between December 2024 and May 2025, we organised a number of accessible guided tours and educational programmes.

Specifically, we organised:

  • Guided tours for the deaf in Greek sign language
  • Educational workshops for persons with visual impairments
  • Visits for the residents of Elderly Open Care Centres
  • Women empowerment actions
  • Guided tours for children from intercultural schools
  • Art workshops and guided tours for families

Together at museums and theatres

We are enabling children who live in group homes in Athens and Thessaloniki to visit museums and cultural venues through guided tours and theatre plays. The initiative “Together at museums and theatres” promotes participation and fosters children’s relationship with culture.

Making cinema accessible

We respect diversity and take steps to ensure that persons with visual or hearing impairments are able to attend universally accessible shows, through the “Cinema for all” initiative. Since 2019, we’ve been working with the Thessaloniki International Film Festival to further facilitate access to quality cinema and raise awareness on matters of social inclusion.

Bringing people together through culture

Accessible performances with the Greek National Opera

We’ve designed the “Together at the Opera” programme, in partnership with the Greek National Opera, organising performances, art workshops and seminars in universal accessibility conditions.

Our goal is to promote inclusive learning and respect for diversity. Moreover, we’ve organised educational activities for mixed groups of people with or without disabilities, themed around culture and aimed at inclusive learning.

Accessible events at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall

In partnership with the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, we ensure equal access for all to universally accessible cultural events.

We support equality and the right of all people to barrier-free access to art through concerts, opera shows and literary meetings.

Accessible events at the Athens Concert Hall

In partnership with the Athens Concert Hall, we support equal access for all to cultural events, through accessible concerts and educational activities for all ages.

Showcasing fine arts without exclusions

As an accessibility sponsor at the photography exhibition titled “Photographs” by Giorgos Lanthimos at the Onassis Stegi, from 07.03.2026 to 17.05.2026, we have supported equal access to cultural activities.

The 1st photography exhibition of the internationally acclaimed director and photographer in Greece was made accessible through:

  • Tours with interpreting into the Greek Sign Language for the deaf and people with hearing impairments.
  • Live audio description for the visually impaired in partnership with the liminal cultural institution.
  • Tactile photographs with the assistance of Tactile Studio.

This is the largest photography exhibition by Giorgos Lanthimos ever hosted at a cultural institution. It features 182 of his photographs from the last 5 years, offering a new perspective in the deeper understanding of this unique and visionary artist.
