To which accounts can I make a transfer?

To any Alpha Bank account (your own or those of third parties), immediately and free of charge
To accounts held with other domestic banks participating in the Dias Credit Transfer system
To acounts held with banks abroad in more than 200 countries worldwide
To accounts held with banks in the EU, with the option of same-day transfer (e.g. Imports from the EU).

Note: For transfers to Alpha Bank accounts not registered in your profile, as well as to accounts held with other banks (both in Greece and abroad), the use of an myAlpha Code required.

In which currency?

In euro (between accounts in euro held with Alpha Bank and other domestic / foreign banks)
In foreign currency, for transfers to bank accounts in foreign currency held with banks abroad (available for 21 currencies).
In foreign currency, fro transfers between accounts in foreign currency held with Alpha Bank.

Online currency conversion

If you need to convert FX to carry out your transaction, you can convert currency online through Web FX for businesses, and convert to or in euro (EUR):

US dollar (USD).
Japanese yen (JPY).
Swiss franc (CHF).
Pound sterling (GBP).

When?

Immediately or at a future date, for transfers between Alpha Bank accounts.
Immediately, for transfers in Euro to accounts held with other domestic banks and other banks abroad that participate in SEPA Credit Transfer instant scheme.
On the same day or at a future date, for transfers in euro to other banks (domestic or foreign), with the earliest execution date being the next working day.
At a future date, for transfers in foreign currency to other banks (domestic or foreign).

How?

By entering an additional password for transfers to accounts held with other banks (domestic or foreign) and for transfers to Alpha Bank accounts not registered in your profile.

With the ability to myAlpha Code in your account until the selected execution date.

Is there a limit for transfers?

For transfers to Alpha Bank accounts which you have already registered in your profile (with credit rights), no limits apply to the maximum daily amount for transfers.
For transfers to Alpha Bank accounts not registered in your profile, as well as to accounts held with other banks in Greece and abroad, transactions via myAlpha Web are subject to limits, in the interest of your own security. In your profile, you can set and choose the following limits:
- A maximum daily limit for transactions, up to Euro 50,000 per day or the equivalent of this amount, if transfers are in a foreign currency.
- An upper limit for individual transactions, which you can reduce as you wish.
- An upper limit for multiple transactions, which you can reduce as you wish.

To increase the upper limits for individual or multiple transactions, as well as to request the increase of the maximum daily limit for transactions (above Euro 50,000), you should contact the Alpha Bank Branch you cooperate with.

The amounts for transfers are affected by the relevant regulations for capital controls.

At what cost?

Free of charge, for transfers between Alpha Bank accounts (your own or those of third parties).

At significant discounts and in accordance with the Bank’s current price list , for transfers to non-Alpha Bank accounts (in Greece or abroad).

Save time!

Pay your employees and suppliers or make other multiple transfers to accounts within Alpha Bank, with a single move! Choose between:

Entering up to 100 different beneficiaries (with different amounts per beneficiary), either by choosing Alpha Bank accounts which you have registered in your profile with Credit rights, or by using a file which you have processed locally on your computer.
Using a file (for more than 100 recipients) which you have processed locally on your computer (without logging in to myAlpha Web, assisted by the specialized File Preparation Tool, which is provided free of charge.

Additional capabilities:

Scheduling of recurring fixed-amount transfers for quicker execution.
Free of charge notification in the case of an unsuccessful transaction, via Alpha alerts service.
Save any account with credit rights, in order to transfer amounts to this account even more easily.
Save and carry out again multiple transfers you have successfully executed
Print and save a copy of the transaction.
Cancellation of a transfer, while it is "pending".

Transfers per user level

The assistant users:

Prepare - submit a transfer task for approval by the authorised users (and then by the approvers, if any).
Monitor the status of the tasks they have submitted for approval.
Can cancel transfer tasks not yet approved by the authorised users.

The authoried users:

Are notified of every new transfer task submitted by the assistant users.
Prepare transfer tasks for approval by themselves and by the approvers (if any).
Approve or reject multiple transfer tasks submitted by assistant users or by themselves.
Monitor the status of each transfer order.
Have access to the history of transfers submitted via the e-Banking services.
Can cancel transfer orders which have not yet been executed and whose status is “Pending”.

The approvers (if these exist for a subscription):

Are notified of every new transfer task already approved by the authoriszed users.
Grant final approval or reject multiple transfer tasks already approved by the authorised users.

It is pointed out that approval for a task can be granted on any day, from 07:00 to 19:00.

File preparation tool

Your multiple transfers through myAlpha Web can be conducted in a faster and easier way.

With the File Preparation Tool you can prepare files for your multiple transfers without logging in to your myAlpha Web profile. This way, after you have prepared your file, you may login to myAlpha Web only to upload the file and complete your multiple transfer even faster and easier.

With the File Preparation Tool, you can prepare files for your multiple transfers inside or outside the myAlpha Web environment.

The multiple transfers file creation option via myAlpha Web is available in the "Jobs" menu, either through the option of a new multiple transfers job, or through the "My Jobs" section. Learn more about the process here.

Covert your files to XML

According to the Regulation (EU) 260/2012, all the payment order files exchanged with the Bank through electronic services (myAlpha Web, Alpha Mass Payments) should be in a SEPA ISO 20022 XML format.

Alpha Bank assists you to conduct your electronic payments within SEPA, by providing you the File Conversion Tool (Conversion Service), the free of charge supporting tool to easily convert your transactions files to SEPA ISO 20022 XML format.
