What you need to know
Without an account in the transfer currency
You don’t need to hold an account in the currency you want to make the transfer.
You simply make the transfer directly, with currency conversion, in many currencies.
Live exchange rates
Transfer money directly with currency conversion, using the exchange rate applicable at the time of the transfer.
Up to USD 500,000 or the equivalent
You can transfer up to USD 500,000 or the equivalent amount in another currency.
Strong authentication for secure transactions
Certain transactions require strong customer authentication with a 6-digit code you receive through Viber or text message.
Secure transfer approval
For secure transfer approval, you can set up user categories through business digital banking. Each category has specific rights and duties.

You may choose who pays the fees:
- Fees are shared (SHA) – You only pay the fees for Alpha Bank.
- Fees are borne by the sender (ΟUR) – You pay the fees for Alpha Bank and the other bank.
What you need for direct transfers with currency conversion
Transfer money online provided you have...
- Active digital banking credentials.
- Activated strong customer authentication to receive 6-digit verification codes on your mobile.
- Properly set the daily transfer limits from the security settings.
Have at hand...
- The IBAN to which you want to transfer money.
- The recipient’s name as registered in the account details.
- The BIC/SWIFT of the beneficiary’s bank.
How to make direct transfers with currency conversion
1. Choose transfers abroad
Log into business web banking with the digital banking credentials for your business.
On the home screen (Overview), from the top menu, choose Transfers > Abroad.
2. Choose account
Choose the account from which the money will be transferred (From).
On the “Recorded at your profile” option, choose “Yes” if you want to transfer money to an account you’ve saved in your profile and select the account you want from the list.
If you choose “No”, fill in the IBAN of the account you want to transfer money to. Also choose the bank you want to transfer the money to and confirm your choice with the 6-digit code you receive on your mobile.
3. Fill in the fields
Fill in the fields:
- “Country of beneficiary’s bank”
- “Beneficiary's bank code (BIC CODE)”
- “Beneficiary's full name”
- “Beneficiary's address”
- “Order amount”
- “Currency”
Then fill in the amount and choose the date of transfer. Up to 2 available dates are displayed: the same day, the next business day or the business day after next, depending on whether you are sending money to a SEPA country.
4. Enter a description
Then, fill in:
- “Details for sender”
- “Details for beneficiary”
- “Sender’s telephone number”
Click on “Submit”.
5. Confirm the transaction
