For yet another year, we participated in the Delphi Economic Forum as a Gold Sponsor, joining this landmark event where representatives and executives from the fields of politics, business, international relations and the civil society get together to exchange ideas.
The event took place on 22-25 April 2026. Members of our management team and senior executives contributed to the discourse by joining panels on the evolution of the banking sector in the new era and the working conditions of the future, technology and artificial intelligence, supporting the digital economy, sustainable tourism, as well as businesses in transition.
The 2026 event marked the start of the 2nd decade of the Forum, following the 10-year milestone reached in 2025. With their collective knowledge and experience, the esteemed speakers captured the contemporary trends in the global community and explored solutions to the challenges of the modern era.
The Alpha Bank Chair of the Board at the Delphi Forum
On Friday 24.04.2026 at 12:10-12:45, the Alpha Bank Chair of the Board Dimitris Tsitsiragos, participated in the panel on “The Return of the Greek Economy: Restoring Trust and Reliability”.
The discussion was moderated by Jose Enrique Garcilazo, Deputy Head of Regional Development and Multilevel Governance Division at the OECD.
The Alpha Bank Chair of the Board, among other things, noted that:
“Investors no longer view Greece as a recovery story, but as a normal member of the Eurozone and, in many cases, as a top performer.”

On Thursday 23.04.2026 at 16:50-17:20, Alpha Bank CEO Vassilis Psaltis participated in the panel “Navigating the Future of European Economic Growth”.
The CEO, among other things, underlined that:
“The fragmentation of the European financial market is costing Europe its future – Alpha Bank and UniCredit are proof that integration works.”

On Friday 24.04 2026 at 17:10-17:50, Alpha Bank Deputy CEO Lazaros Papagaryfallou participated in the panel “Pillars of Transformation: Mapping the Next Era of Greek Economic Growth”.
The Deputy CEO, among other things, stated that:
“Greece has good laws on paper, regarding innovation incentives, the RRF framework, and the justice reform roadmap. What is lacking is speed and discipline in implementation. We are a country that legislates well but executes slowly. This must be reversed.”
