Chief Risk Control Officer
Georgios T. Adraktas

He was born in Athens in 1974. He holds a BSc from the Department of Statistics of the Athens University of Economics and Business and an MSc in Operational Research and Management Science from the University of Edinburgh. He is also an INSEAD alumni, where he gained expertise in Global Management. Moreover, he holds relevant certifications in Commercial Credit (Moody’s Analytics) and in Operational Risk (Professional Risk Managers’ International Association – PRMIA).

He commenced his career in the consulting sector (Financial Services) and since 2002 he has been employed in Alpha Bank, serving in various Risk Management areas. Since February 2023 he has served as Chief Risk Control Officer, supervising the management and monitoring of all financial and non-financial risks of the Group.

In the course of his career, he has served as Chair and Member of the Boards of Directors of Group Companies both in Greece and abroad. To date, he has been a member of the Greek branch of the PRMIA, Chair of the Audit Committee of the Bank Information Systems S.A. (Tiresias) and member of its Board of Directors.

Chief of Statutory Reporting and Tax
Marianna D. Antoniou

She was born in Athens in 1967. She studied Business Administration with a minor in Marketing at the Athens University of Economics and Business and she attended an MBA course at the Hellenic Management Association (EDEE). She has been working in Alpha Bank since 1989 and in 2010 she was appointed Manager of the Accounting Division and, subsequently, Manager of the Accounting and Tax Division. During her career she has also served as Chair, Vice Chair and Member of the Boards of Directors of Group Companies in the banking , insurance, services and real estate sectors, in Greece and abroad . Since 2014, she has been Head of the accounting committee of the Hellenic Bank Association and member of the accounting committee of the European Banking Federation, which is responsible for the adoption of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), their transposition into the Greek and the European laws as well as for their uniform implementation. On 1.1.2024 she was appointed Chief of Statutory Reporting and Tax.

Chief of Compliance
Xenofon D. Avlonitis

Xenofon Avlonitis was born in 1969. He served as Vice Chairman of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission between 2009 and 2019, for the maximum of two tenures. He was an Alternate Member representing the Commission to the ESMA Board of Supervisors. He presided over a series of committees on the subject of the implementation of EU Directives into the Greek legislation. Before 2009, he had been working in the Commission for 12 years, having served as Director in the Department of Public Offerings & Supervision of Listed Companies from 2003 to 2009. For the first six years of his career, he worked in the Greek private sector. He served as a Board Member at the Hellenic Accounting and Auditing Standards Oversight Board and has been a member of the Hellenic Corporate Governance Council since 2011. He studied Economics in the University of Piraeus and holds an MSc in Business Finance from Brunel University. He has been the first Greek professional accepted in the Yale World Fellows Program. On 1.1.2024 he was appointed Chief of Compliance.

Chief of Commercial Banking
Tilemachos D. Georgakis

He was born in Athens in 1971. He holds a BSc in Mathematics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MBA from the University of Wales (Cardiff Business School). He commenced his career in 1998 at Laiki Bank and since 2005 he has been working at Alpha Bank, where he was appointed Manager of the Corporate Banking Division in 2013. In November 2014, he became Manager of the Business Centers Division and in September 2017 Manager of the Commercial Banking Senior Division, supervising the Business Centers and the Hospitality and Island Enterprises Division. Moreover, he has served as Chair and Vice Chair of the Boards of Directors of Group Companies. Since December 2015, he has been a Member of the Boards of Directors of ABC Factors S.A. and Alpha Leasing S.A., while in 2021 he was appointed Chair of the latter’s Board of Directors. On 1.1.2024 he was appointed Chief of Commercial Banking.

Chief Legal Officer
Thaleia Z. Emiri

She was born in Athens in 1968. She holds a BA in Law from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens as well as an MA in Economic Law and a suma cum laude PhD in Corporate Law, both from Panthéon-Assas University (Paris II). Moreover, she holds professional certifications in Governance, Risk and Compliance (ICA) as well as in Corporate Sustainability (Saïd Business School) issues. She has worked in Tier 1 law firms and in private companies, focusing mainly on corporate and banking law. She has served as Special Policies Director at the Prime Minister’s Office (2012) and as Legal Advisor to the Minister of Finance (2012-2013). She has also been the Chief Legal Counsel at the Hellenic Financial Stability Fund (HFSF) (2013-2018) during the restructuring of the Greek banking system. She has extensive experience in providing support for structured financial transactions, in negotiating with different stakeholders and in managing crisis situations. She has also held office as a non-executive member of the board of directors of the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF). She joined the Bank as Chief Legal Officer in December 2022.

Chief of Retail Banking Products
Ioannis T. Ioannidis

He was born in Athens in 1972. He holds a BSc in Business Administration and Marketing Management from The American College of Greece (Deree College) and an MBA in Finance from ALBA Business School. He worked at Citibank and at ABN AMRO Bank for 18 years, holding positions of responsibility in Retail Banking, as well as at Emporiki Asset Management and at New Millennium Asset Management in the Wealth Management area. He joined Alpha Bank in 2014, initially serving as Manager of the Deposit and Bancassurance Products Division, while from 2021 until 2023 he was Manager of the Retail Banking Products Senior Division, also supervising the Cards and the Personal Loans Divisions. He has served as a member of the boards of directors of Group Companies, such as Alpha Finance Investment Services S.A., AlphaLife Insurance Company S.A. and Alpha Insurance Agents S.A., and of Νexi Payments Greece (2021-22). On 15.12.2024 he was appointed Chief of Retail Banking Products.

Chief of Strategy and Investments
Marios C. Kalotychos

He was born in Thessaloniki in 1981. He holds a BSc in Actuarial Science from the London School of Economics and an MSc in Finance from the University of Cambridge. He commenced his career in the fixed income markets divisions of Deutsche Bank (2005-2008) and Morgan Stanley (2008-2016) in London and, subsequently, he served as General Manager of Corporate Development at the Hellenic Bank (2016-2021). In 2021 he joined Alpha Bank as Chief of the Strategy and Investments Division.

Chief Economist
Panayotis T. Kapopoulos

He was born in Athens in 1964. He holds a PhD from the Athens University of Economics and Business and an MA in Economics and Econometrics. He was Head of Risk Management at Emporiki Bank, Crédit Agricole Group (2005-2013) and served as member of the BoD of Tiresias S.A. and of the Scientific Council of the Hellenic Bank Association (HBA). During his career, he served as Advisor to the Management on Strategic Planning at Emporiki Bank and Alpha Bank. He has taught macroeconomics, banking and risk management at the University of Piraeus and the Athens University of Economics and Business. He is the author of four books, for one of which (co-authored with G. Provopoulos) he received the Award of the Class of Ethical and Political Sciences from the Academy of Athens in 2003, as well as numerous articles in academic scientific journals such as, inter alia, the European Journal of Political Economy, the Journal of Policy Modeling, Corporate Governance, the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, the Scottish Journal of Political Economy, Managerial and Decision Economics and Economics Letters. He was appointed Head of Economic Research in 2014 and Chief Economist in 2022.

Chief of Global Markets and Group Treasurer
Aikaterini I. Marmara

She was born in Athens in 1973. She studied International and European Economic Sciences at the Athens University of Economics and Business and she holds an MSc in International Banking and Financial Studies from the University of Southampton.  She has 26 years of professional experience in the field of financial management. She commenced her career in Alpha Bank in 1997, working in the Treasury Management Division in Athens and London. From 2016 until 2023 she served as Manager of the Trading Senior Division, supervising the Capital Markets, the Derivatives Markets, the Liquidity Management and the Debt Management Functional Areas. In 2019 she was appointed Member of the Board of Directors of Alpha Bank Cyprus (ABC) Ltd. On 1.1.2024 she was appointed Chief of Global Markets and Group Treasurer.

Chief of Corporate & Investment Banking
Nikolaos K. Nezeritis

He was born in Athens in 1977. He holds a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Piraeus and an MSc in Finance from the University of London (Birkbeck College). He commenced his career at the Transaction Advisory Services Division of Ernst & Young and in 2007 he joined Alpha Bank. In 2018 he was appointed Manager of the Structured Finance Division, being responsible for financings in the infrastructure, energy and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) sectors, while contributing significantly to the conclusion of major transactions. On 1.1.2024 he was appointed Chief of Corporate and Investment Banking.

Chief Credit Officer
Pavlos G. Dolas

He was born in Athens in 1978. He holds a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), an MSc in Telecommunications and an MSc in Finance, both from the Imperial College London. He worked in London for Citibank over 18 years, first in Corporate and Investment Banking and then as a Senior Credit Officer (SCO) in Credit Risk Management. He has wide-ranging experience, covering diverse companies and sectors, while from 2012 onwards he specialized in Shipping and Aviation.

Since 2022 he has been working for the Alpha Bank Group in the position of Chief Credit Officer.

Chief of Wholesale Trade Lending and Transaction Banking
Evangelos D. Patrinos

He was born in Thessaloniki in 1971. He studied Business Administration at the University of Macedonia. He holds an MBA from Imperial College Business School and an MSc in International Banking & Financial Studies from the University of Southampton. Moreover, he holds professional qualifications CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) and FRM (Financial Risk Manager). He has worked at Piraeus Bank and ABN AMRO Bank. He joined Alpha Bank in 2005. In 2014 became Manager of Corporate Banking Division and in 2017 Manager of Non-Performing Loans Division. In 2020 he was appointed Executive General Manager of NPEs, Remedial Management and on 1.1.2024 Chief of Wholesale Trade Lending and Transaction Banking.

Chief of Internal Audit
Maria C. Rontogianni

She was born in 1973. She studied Public Accounting and Marketing at Fordham University, New York. She has a 25-year experience in the broader scope of internal audit and joins the Bank after being Senior Vice President, Group Audit and Risk Management at Deutsche Telekom. From 2009 and until her move to Bonn, she was Group Chief Internal Auditor at the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (OTE). She was also Director of Internal Audit at Wind Telecommunications and Lamda Development, while earlier in her career she worked for a number of years at Arthur Andersen in Athens as well as at JP Morgan and the National Futures Association in New York. On 1.4.2020 she was appointed Executive General Manager of the Bank and on 1.1.2024 Chief of Internal Audit.

Chief Investment Officer
Konstantinos G. Sarafopoulos

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and an MSc in Applied and Computational Mathematics, both from Oxford University. He spent 16 years at J.P. Morgan, predominantly in the Chief Investment Office, holding various roles as a Portfolio Manager. From 2013 onwards, he was an Executive Director / Senior PM, heading the CIO’s EMEA Rates & FX Division from 2016 to 2020.
He joined Alpha Bank in 2021 as Group Head of the Asset Liabilities Management Division and since January 2023 his new title is Chief Investment Officer. He is a voting member in various Group Committees (Group Asset-Liability Committee, Real Estate Committee, etc.) and President of the Investment Committee of the Institution for Occupational Retirement Provision (IORP) of Alpha Group Personnel.

Chief of Performance Management and Reporting
Penny C. Spiliotopoulou

She was born in Kalamata in 1973. She holds a BSc from the Athens University of Economics and Business and an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics. She commenced her career in 1995 at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), London. She has been employed in various financial institutions, first for the provision of auditing and consulting services and subsequently as a banking executive. She has been working in Alpha Bank since 2013, holding managerial positions in different Units under the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) area. In January 2024 she was appointed Chief of Performance Management and Reporting.

Chief Retail Distribution Officer
Maria G. Papageorgiou

She was born in Athens in 1962. She is a graduate of the Democritus University of Thrace (School of Law), and holds a postgraduate degree in Finance and Banking from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has participated in numerous banking training programmes and holds certifications from the Bank of Greece for providing investment advice. She joined Alpha Bank in 1982 and has had a long career in Retail Banking. She has served as Branch Manager, Deputy Director of Branch and Small Business Divisions, as well as Head of Branch Divisions across the Bank’s network in various regions of Greece. From January 2021 to July 2025, she served as Director of Attica II, Southwestern Greece and Islands. Since July 2025, she has held the position of Chief Retail Distribution Officer.

Chief Retail Banking Customer Segments
Christos N. Schizas

He was born in Athens in 1977. He studied Business Administration at the Athens University of Economics and Business and holds an MBA from INSEAD, France, while he has also attended training programs at Harvard University. He commenced his career at Eurobank, where he worked in the Bancassurance and Personal Banking sectors. He then moved to the media industry, specifically to the RTL Group in Luxembourg, where he served as Deputy CEO of the ENEX international news agency and later as the Group’s Vice President of Business Development and Group Synergies, responsible for coordinating the Group’s international subsidiaries on issues such as digital media investments and content development. He also served on the Board of Directors for various Group companies.

He joined Alpha Bank in 2020. In May 2021, he took on the role of Manager of the Retail Banking Customer Segments Senior Division and on 1.1.2024 he was appointed Chief Retail Distribution Officer. From July 2025, his new title is Chief Retail Banking Customer Segments. 

Chief Information Officer
Spyridon P. Tzamtzis

He was born in Athens in 1965. He began his career in 1989. He worked for four years in the Hellenic Aerospace Industry and in 1994 joined Alpha Bank. In 2010 he became Manager of Computer Applications and in 2016 Senior IT Director. In October 2020 he was appointed Executive General Manager of IT - CIO and on 1.1.2024 Chief Information Officer (CIO). He holds a degree in Geology from the Faculty of Science of the University of Athens and an MBA from the National Technical University of Athens and the Athens University of Economics.

Chief Operational Excellence Officer
Konstantinos G. Tzimopoulos

He was born in 1968. He studied Mining and Metallurgical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens and he holds an MSc in Business Information Technology Systems from the Strathclyde Graduate Business School in Glascow. He commenced his career with General Electric, London, where, after completing a two-year corporate graduate training program (Information Management Leadership Program – IMLP), he worked for 8 years in the Industrial and the Financial sectors of the organization, holding roles in the fields of program delivery and business improvement, with expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. He served as Service Deliver Director of First Data Hellas (2005-2012). Since 2013 he has been working in Alpha Bank, contributing actively to the integration programs for Emporiki Bank and of the operations of Citibank’s Retail Banking in Greece. From 2018 until 2023 he was Manager of the Organizational Planning Senior Division, leading the Organization and Business Projects Divisions. On 1.1.2024 he was appointed Chief Operational Excellence Officer.
