Once again, we are championing sports by becoming a Gold Sponsor of the Hellenic Olympic Committee (HOC) for the 4-year period leading up to the LA 2028 Games.

The agreement was finalised during the meeting between the Alpha Bank CEO, Mr Vassilis Psaltis, and the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, Mr Isidoros Kouvelos.

Through this partnership we are supporting the work of the HOC, empowering the delegations representing Greece at top international events.

Together at the Winter Olympics

In awe of their talent and confident about their potential, we proudly stood by the athletes who represented Greece at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

Behind the flag they competed for there was a whole group of people who believed in their dream.

 

From Athens 2004 to date

Our relationship with Olympism runs very deep. As Major National Sponsor and Official Bank of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, we supported the largest-scale sponsorship ever in Greece. This was a meaningful contribution to the national effort, as we helped Athens host the Olympic Games in a way that left an imprint on world sports.

And we haven’t stopped ever since. Through sponsorships to Paralympians and events, we have continued to support equal access to sports for all and promote the athletic ideal.

Throughout the Olympiad

Apart from empowering elite athletes, we have been shaping the necessary conditions for younger, up-and-coming talents to achieve their goals. 

Standing by them, we support them consistently to ensure peak preparation throughout their 4-year Olympic journey.

For more state-of-the-art sports venues

We are contributing to the upgrade and renovation of selected Olympic venues to:

  • Ensure modern and safe training facilities. 
  • Improve access to quality sports infrastructure for the younger generation.
  • Protect public sports facilities against the risk of gradual deterioration due to limited resources.

For the Olympic ideals

Through Alpha Bank’s Numismatic Collection and Art Collection, we link Greek history and art to the Olympic ideals. 

At the same time, we organise:

  • Educational programmes at schools and local communities.
  • Volunteer activities attended by employees and citizens, to show our support to society and amateur sports.
