How does the Alpha SecureWeb service work?

The Alpha SecureWeb service enhances the security of card-based e-commerce transactions through the strong customer authentication process.

The strong customer (cardholder) authentication process is defined as mandatory by the current European Union legislation on payment cards and applies to purchases from e-shops located within the European Union.

The authentication of the cardholder using myAlpha Code notifications and the utilization of biometric features, ensure that the transaction is carried out by the legitimate cardholder. 
Strong authentication is carried via myAlpha Code notifications, with which confirmation is provided for the execution of electronic transactions. MyAlpha Code notifications are sent by myAlpha Mobile in the form of Push Notifications, Viber messages or SMS, exclusively to the customer’s mobile phone number registered in the Bank's systems.
