Alpha Bank, aiming to support and enhance the domestic investment activity, joins its forces with the European Investment Bank (E.I.B.) and provides financing to Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (S.M.Es) and Mid Caps.

To whom the Programme is addressed

Alpha Bank Loans offer efficient and flexible solutions for enterprises that meet the following criteria:

Number of employees should be:
- for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises up to 250,
- for Mid Caps between 250 and 3,000
The business sector of the enterprise must be commerce, manufacturing, provision of services, agriculture, tourism or any other sector eligible, according to the E.I.B.
The enterprises and the financed projects must be located mainly in Greece, without the exception of enterprises and projects located in other E.U. Member States.

Which enterprises are excluded from the programme

Enterprises with activity in the following sectors are excluded from Alpha Bank Loans:

production of guns and ammunition, armament
gambling
production, processing and distribution of tobacco
use of animals for experimental and scientific purposes
sectors that are morally or ethically controversial (human cloning)
purchase of goodwill and purchase of intangible assets
pure property development
pure financial transactions (e.g. sale and purchase of financial instruments)
portfolio management of holdings and investments in companies

Financing and term

We offer financing up to Euro 12.5 million usually for 2 to 12 years and with the usual collateral for this type of financing.

Types of Funding

Alpha Bank Loans offer two types of funding, in order to select the one that best suits your business needs:

Funding through working capital to cover business development needs.
Funding of investment plans, to cover acquisition costs and / or creation of assets and for investment in intangible assets such as:
- expenses related to research and development
- building up or taking over distribution networks in other EU Member States
- acquisition of patents.

The interest rate

Alpha Bank Loans are offered with premium billing without L.128/75 levy.

Jobs for Youth" Initiative

Alpha Bank participates in the European Investment Bank's Initiative "Jobs for Youth", contributing actively in the effort to create new jobs.

The Programme offers the employers' motives to further reduce their borrowing cost by hiring new employees under the age of 25 to their enterprise.

The E.I.B.'s initiative actively supports the European and national policies for youth employment by providing additional favourable terms for the financing of enterprises that:

have hired young employees during the last 6 months or intend to do so within 6 months
are actively engaged in youth's vocational training or internship.
maintain an active cooperation agreement with a technical school / college or university for youth employment.
