Alpha Quick Transfer

Daily money transfers are now even faster via Alpha Mobile Banking with the new Alpha Quick Transfer option!


What kind of transactions are offered? 

Using the new, updated Alpha Quick Transfer option, you can:

  • Transfer immediately or request to receive amounts up to Euro 500 per day and per transaction, to and from your smartphone’s contacts who keep an Alpha Bank account, using their Facebook profile, mobile phone number or e-mail address. 
  • Transfer immediately or request to receive amounts up to Euro 500 per day and per transaction, to and from your smartphone’s contacts, using their mobile phone number. It is a prerequisite that your contacts should keep their accounts in other Greek banks which participate in the IRIS online payments system.
  • Make payments to Professionals / Businesses registered with the IRIS online payments system, using their mobile phone number or Tax Registration Number (AFM).

What additional options are available?

With the updated capabilities of the Alpha Quick Transfer option, you can: 

  • accompany the transfer or request to receive money within Alpha Bank with a text message as well as with  a photo from your smartphone,
  • carry out up to 15 transactions per day (sending or receiving money), with a maximum daily limit of Euro 500,
  • review the complete history of your transactions (sending and receiving money), 
  • get notifications via SMS every time someone requests to receive money from you.


How does it work?

Just log in to Alpha Mobile Banking using either your 4-digit PIN or your fingerprint and make an immediate transfer or request to receive amounts up to Euro 500 per day and per transaction to/from your smartphone’s contacts, using their Facebook profile, mobile phone number or e-mail address. This option is also available for interbank transfers via the IRIS online payments system, for which you can use the mobile phone number of your contact.

What are the requirements?

The only requirement is that the contact selected for sending or receiving money must have also activated the Alpha Quick Transfer option via the Alpha Mobile Banking application or the corresponding IRIS online payments service of the bank with which your contact cooperates.




How do I activate it?


  1. Log in to Alpha Mobile Banking. 
  2. Specify the account to be debited and the account to be credited for the transfer you want to carry out via Alpha Quick Transfer. 
  3. Select how you would like to be identified by the other Alpha Quick Transfer users (via your mobile phone number, e-mail address and/or Facebook profile).
  4. You’re ready to go! You can now send or request to receive money.
The Alpha Quick Transfer option is offered free of charge.

Useful Security Tips

  • Alpha Bank will never ask you for your access codes in any way (e.g. via phone or e-mail). These codes are strictly personal and you must never reveal them to anyone.
  • Select access codes that are not easily guessed and are not being used on other systems and services.
  • Keep the access codes confidential in a way that it is not feasible to be disclosed / stolen.
  • Log in to Alpha Web Banking only via the official website of Alpha Bank (www.alpha.gr) and never via other links appearing on other websites, search engines or e-mail messages.
  • Verify the validity of the Alpha Web Banking page and the security certificate by clicking on the lock icon in the address bar of the browser.
  • Update your PC with the latest versions and security patches of the operating system (e.g. Windows) and the browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox).
  • Inspect regularly your PC for viruses and other malicious programs using the latest versions of antivirus and antimalware utilities.
  • Ignore and delete immediately suspicious e-mails that ask you to provide your personal data, include links or attachments.
