New feature for easy calculation of your tax deduction!

Now, by using the Alpha Mobile Banking and the Alpha Web Banking, you can also calculate your tax deduction upper limit and check easily the amount that you have covered so far.




The new feature provides you with detailed information about the total amount of expenses you have made using the Alpha Bank electronic payment means and count in “building” your tax deduction.

In particular, you can view information about the following transactions:

  • transactions made by debiting all your credit, debit or prepaid Alpha Bank cards,
  • payment orders or standing orders executed by debiting all your Alpha Bank accounts.

What are my options?



Now, your daily life is even easier:

  1. With the interactive graph, you can now see at a glance the total tax deduction amount that you have covered so far, through purchases made using Alpha Bank cards (registered in your profile) and through electronic payments via Alpha e-Banking.
  2. In addition, you can also monitor your expenses from 1.1.2017 onwards grouped by category, as well as the detailed expenses within each category.
  3. With the use of the practical tool “Tax deduction calculator”, you set your annual income and immediately see the minimum amount of expenses required to build your tax deduction, as well the percentage coverage of this amount so far.

How can I use the "Tax deduction calculator" ?

  • If you are using Alpha Mobile Banking: Before logging in to the Service, select the “Tax Deduction” tool from the available useful tools.
  • If you are using Alpha Web Banking: Upon logging in to the Service, look for and click the tag “My tax deduction”, displayed on the right-hand side of the "Overview" screen.

Which transactions count in building the tax deduction?

The transactions which count in “building” the tax deduction refer to a wide range of expenses for purchasing goods and services, such as clothing, food, transportation etc.

Useful Security Tips

  • Alpha Bank will never ask you for your access codes in any way (e.g. via phone or e-mail). These codes are strictly personal and you must never reveal them to anyone.
  • Select access codes that are not easily guessed and are not being used on other systems and services.
  • Keep the access codes confidential in a way that it is not feasible to be disclosed / stolen.
  • Log in to Alpha Web Banking only via the official website of Alpha Bank (www.alpha.gr) and never via other links appearing on other websites, search engines or e-mail messages.
  • Verify the validity of the Alpha Web Banking page and the security certificate by clicking on the lock icon in the address bar of the browser.
  • Update your PC with the latest versions and security patches of the operating system (e.g. Windows) and the browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox).
  • Inspect regularly your PC for viruses and other malicious programs using the latest versions of antivirus and antimalware utilities.
  • Ignore and delete immediately suspicious e-mails that ask you to provide your personal data, include links or attachments.
